Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

I thought the first goal in this game would be huge the way Miller and Luongo have played.

Now the mountain for the US is ginormous.

I thought I heard the announcers mention that the team who scores first was undefeated in the olympics this year. I might have misheard them but I thought I heard that.

US and Canada are both undefeated when scoring first.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

I thought it was a pretty even half...yes giving up the first goal was a major downer, but besides that goal the rest of the period looked pretty close to even, or at least not as one sided as most people would expect.

A lot less shots on goal than I thought there would be...

We'll see how the second period winds out!!

I beg your pardon? :p

Oh fer krissake. Barry wouldn't know a blue line from a clothesline!

For Prime Minister Stephen Harper, there's more riding on Sunday's hockey game than just national pride in his favourite sport.

There's also a case of Molson Canadian.

Harper and U.S. President Barack Obama each wagered a case of beer on the outcome of the Olympic men's hockey final. If Canada wins, Obama buys Harper a case of Canadian. If Obama wins, Harper buys him a case of Yuengling beer.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

Yuengling is the national beer of Kenya?

hahaha wow

Seriously though, I thought I remember it being one of the oldest breweries in america.

Edit: Yep, it's the oldest. Only Molson is older on the continent.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

Ah, I knew it. That's all you need, one thieving Canadian on the team.
Hey, what's that you say?
I said that you're a lying member of a no good race.
Much better than you, you stinking American pig.
Oh, I like him.
