Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

I was reading a hockey message board yesterday where somebody from Kosice felt they had to break in and post:

WE... ARE... NOT... THE... SAME... AS... SLOVENIA!...

:p

how woulda Coach remembered them?

"albania, albania.
you border on
the
adriatic":D

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

After looking like they weren't going to be much of a factor on that 5x3, the Fins have subsequently made this very interesting...

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

Jokinen ties it up

It appears he shaved his fu-man-chu(sp) as well ;)

EDIT: Google just told me it is fu-manchu. So, I was close :D

Jokinen scores on the PP to make it 4-3.

Wonder how many more consecutive PPs the Fins will get.

Soft goal on Halak.

Well. It was a breakaway. 5 straight pp's, but we also got a couple breaks on calls before.

Gotta take chances, now. The Gaborik line is basically going to play the last 10 minutes.

On the double minor it was a joke that Jokinen didn't also go to the box for his retaliation afterward. But the Slovakians probably didn't mind, they ended up with one more goal than the Fins on that PP.

Good pressure, there.

The Ruutu hit was the equivalent of that BS call against Hossa.

I don't think this is over; the Slovaks have showed amazing heart all tourney long.
