Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

That last Canada shot was about 5 seconds after the whistle.

No call probably.

The puck was loose when the buzzer sounded, and the Canadian player was near the faceoff dot. She then collected the puck and shot at the net, probably 3-4 seconds after the buzzer. Clearly after the final horn.

Of course there won't be a call.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

Not a terrible first period. I thought the US carried the play 5 on 5.

The only thing that went wrong was we couldn't score and Canada got a weak one for their second goal.

I think we can definitely come back. Just gotta keep peppering the net. I don't know how Zugger missed that shot from the slot. Did she just miss wide or did the Canadian goalie get her blocker on it? Either way...she's standing on her head and has been the biggest difference in the game so far.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

The USA with chances right off the opening faceoff, but cannot score.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

Unbelievable, no calls either way and then an obvious trip.

Maybe she needed to fly through the air like our dishonorable Northern cousins.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

Another offside missed.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

Americans are buzzing; they've GOT to get one soon. Canadian golaie playing pretty well.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

Haha, two straight delay of games on Canada. I don't think I've ever seen that happen.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

USA 5x3 for more than 1:30

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

It's a bad sign when you can't get shots through to the net on a 5x3.

Re: Olympics Part V: The Search for Gold

Both penalties killed.

The USA didn't bring their A game...or even their B game...
