What's more pathetic than someone who graduated from tuo$ the Ag. school? Someone who couldn't get into said Ag. college and had to go to a MAC school...

Ran out of money because of his/her poor education during the middle of his/her transformation. There for he/she is really an it and why it doesn't make any sense when it talks because it has two conflicting personalities....:D

So.... the Michigan and Miami fan arguing in the OSU forum.... Is that like a meeting halfway thing? :)


Speaking of idiots though.... Anyone know if and when they would offer Markell an extension? I hope they don't, but the athletic dept seems to be OK with mediocrity....

Word on the street (unsubstantiated to my knowledge, but often repeated) is that none of the coaching staff contracts have been renewed (yet). It's the last year of the contract for Markell. I would tend to think this is true, as Lammers left for a multi-year contract at CC, which I imagine he would not have done if there had been stability in his future at tOSU. But as I indicated, speculation at this point. Will the same staff be coaching tOSU next season? Your guess is as good as mine... (I have my thoughts but will keep them to myself for the time being). ;)

PS - Thanks for the support, oh hated rival fan Redhawkman. Thoughtful, if heated, debate is what this forum should be about (that, and laughing at the outrageous and funny stuff that Dirty lays on everyone). :D

Team had a few rough seasons but turned it around and made the NCAA's last season. They drive me nuts some night but really have skated well all season, against top teams every weekend. Things are on the upswing, I have no problem with this staff coming back.

Over the weekend UM scored on 3 of 12 PP, but two of the goals were 5x3. Friday MICH rally struggle to scored on the 5x3, had four big time shots and couldn't put it in, but finally put in in on shot number five. OSU PK when at 5x4 looked pretty good at times.

Sounds more like outstanding goaltending rather than a good PK.

I have been a Markell supporter for a long time, but nothing short of a ccha finals apperance and a tourney berth will keep him here another year, unless of course they give him a extension before the season ends.

(Um, I can't believe I'm doing this, but here goes...)

The point Mr. Toe is making, which is clearly lost on you, is the (totally hilarious and delightfully snarky and completely sarcastic) assertion that the current coach, by virtue of his amazing competence and success, should be granted a lifetime contract. You really should not drink paint thinner. :D

He is quickly becomming our Cooper. I'm willing to give him 4-5 years but no more. However, Cooper was a good coach except he couldn't beat Michigan.

I am NOT a Markell supporter.... He hasn't taken the team to any sort of level....

Years they are supposed to be good they are bad and then he overachieves with some teams and is given credit. Even seasons when they do well (except the Frozen Four year 10+ yrs ago) they have been bounced in the First Rd of the NCAA's.....

The teams are inconsistent and struggle with things teams shouldnt.... PP and PK this year....

I hate to compare to football but I am.... People were calling for Tressel's head because he doesn't win the way they want him to.... Heck Markell isn't even winning!

Would a change really HURT the program at all? Gene Smith has done well with hiring coaches... Let's give him a shot...

Who knows? Bring in a new coach... Win some games and convince the school to build a REAL college hockey venue!
