In reading through the recaps looks like OSU had a chance to make it a big weekend just needed a little scoring touch on Sat. Nice to see Heeter playing well and get the team a win on a Friday. How is the BigTen Network stream? I was thinking of catching the game Fri vs Miami.

Albert played like he was trying to win the game by himself, tremendous effort. Great effort by entire team, just one of those games when effort doesn't equal result. Hogan will have a bruise until after New Years from Bartkowski's shot. K Reed was robbed.
Dalpe will go pro someday, but he must decide if he wants to sign with Carolina, which is a terrible mess of a team or stay in school on a campus with 12000+ young women. I know what I would choose." MAYBE " , I should of said Zach Dalpe instead of John Albert as the season goes on.

No offense but any game at the Value Center will suck. The place is not meant for Hockey. The cameras are put way too far away from the ice. It is almost as if they are taping the game from a fricking blimp. And I assume the BTN will synch their feed up with the home teams radio feed. I think everyone here knows how inept the suckeye hockey announcers are. IMO most other CCHA rinks will be fine though (depending on radio announcers). If you can at least be able to read the numbers on the players jerseys you can just mute the sound but when you can't see anhything due to the poor sightlines you're stuck.

50% of the goals OSU has given up this year, 26/53, have been power play goals. Tells me 2 things: the 5 on 5 defence is pretty good, and they better stay out of the penalty box or they ain't gonna win many more games...
Opponents score an average of 0.5 more goals per game than OSU
Opponents score on 27% of their PPs against OSU
OSU takes 7 penalties per game, which accounts for 1.8+ goals against per game (on average)
So, if they cut down the penalties by 2 per game they would essentially be goal-differential neutral (and win more games). I know it's obvious, but I wanted to check the numbers. A little discipline will go a long way. For example, the penalty that put OSU down 5 on 3 late in the game on Saturday was a back breaker, particularly against a team that moves the puck as well as MI. I hope they figure it out.

Is this guy talking about other programs sucking? If it wasn't for their win saturday they were behind Bowling green and tied with Western Michigan for the basement of the CCHA. But congrats on your split mich you are now in 10th place lol.....

For those of you who missed the previous public service annoucement, please do not feed the trolls. They are easily identifiable (see, for example, the quote from a noted USCHO troll, above), and are known to be thick-headed, ill informed, rather dim witted, and, in general muck up perfectly good threads.
