Ohio State Offseason 2012: In like a lion, out like a lamb.

Re: Ohio State Offseason 2012: In like a lion, out like a lamb.

There is an opportunity here. Discount the tickets and offer them to those folks having All Star game or skills event tickets. Nothing to do early in the afternoon before the skills competition - lure them three miles up the road so see a warm up game and get a little exposure. Then again, that doesn't make OSU hockey sense and smacks of correct marketing policies. ;)

Agree 100%. You would think OSU would take advantage of the fact that there will be thousands of hockey fans in town for the NHL All-Star festivities! This is a prime example of the athletic department simply not being as committed to this program as they could be.

Not the attraction that Michigan was but outdoor games are pretty cool.

I read about this last night. Someone linked it on Twitter. I will be there regardless of who the opponent is.

Wake up everybody. Players are all due in this week. Time for the posters here to get in shape for the upcoming season.

Brady Hjelle is featured on the huge banner hanging in front of the Schott, along with Aaron Craft and Taylor Hill from the roundball teams.

This season's big question mark....which poster will be the first to bash John Markell?:D

Alright gang, let's get this thread back on track, which recruits are on campus now? When does practice start? What should we expect out of the 2012-13 Buckeyes?

I dont think they can practice untill like oct 2nd. I expect improvement with out a 2nd half meltdown. No worse than a top 5 finish in the regular season and a possible regional berth.

Those are basically my expectations as well ... top 5 CCHA finish, no second-half meltdown, and hopefully, we get an NCAA bid. Would love to see us in that Toledo regional next spring!

New roster is out at "the official site" for the year and three underclassmen from last year are gone, Ben Gallacher, Brendan Arneil and Paul Kirtland. Team is carrying four goalies this season. Ice went down in the Schott yesterday.

Almost time to make the last name on that cup the same as the first name on it.

Now that would be great! I really want to make a road trip to Toledo next March or April (whenever the regionals are)!

Re: Ohio State Offseason 2012: In like a lion, out like a lamb.

At least this season we have conference play until the middle of December, I think the longer break last year didn't help us.
I think as this is our final season as conference opponents of Miami this could be the season to remember for the potential for intensity. We play two regular games in December and then probably one game against them in Pittsburgh and the last two games of regular season. Could possibly meet in CCHA playoffs and if that went 3 games that's 8 total! Not too bad as there would be all kind of paybacks before they even got to playing 3 times against each other! Anyone else salivating over making them our bit*ches through so many possible games? :D

We need to change the topic headline to a different saying or start a new thread for 2012-2013 season. Lion & Lamb is reminding me of last years second half of the seasons NIGHTMARE!!!!
