I hope to be there for the medal games as well. I'm sure Hux and DC will be up. They have friends up there. Sounds like an opportunity to meet some folks from the boards when the time comes. Tailgate perhaps ?.

OnMAA, I am up for a tailgate! That would be great! I was just telling my USCHO friends on another thread that although I have been on this forum for more than a year, I have yet to meet anyone on these message boards! Shoot, I go to most of the OSU womens home games and I haven't even met Pgb-Ohio!! Count us in on that tailgate! Tell Mrs 86 and I what to bring (LOL)! Hey, serious question, you don't think we will have any trouble buying tickets for those games at the door, do you? I have been checking the University of Vermont athletic website periodically and have not seen any tickets being sold for individual games. Last I checked, they were still just selling the packages for the entire week. I wish like heck we could be there for the whole week and purchase the Gutterson package, but we don't have the coin. Hope to see you there and meet!

Provided it stays a balmy 32 degrees here... and not the bone chilling temperatures that I'm still convinced are coming..... tailgate on!

Dunno about game tickets. I'll worry about that when it gets closer, after the college season is over. Right now still enjoying the weekly trips to college games. Went to the FF last year, and will add worlds to the bucket list this year.

Next year it will be in Ottawa, which I'll attend for sure. They are combining worlds with the Provincial championships (OWHA), which means there will be like 400 girls minor hockey teams in town, including all the PWHL teams. Now that will be a zoo.

I've been fortunate to meet many USCHO board regulars over the years, mostly at tournaments like Chowder Cup, NAHA and at various college games.

Completely untrue as usual for your accusations. A shot was taken at 3...count 'em, 3 very specifically identified north of the border residents. Tom Brokaw would understand that with the important distinction being so obvious...he's intelligent. Your never ending fabrications intended as indictments are what's really sad.

I hope AMSOIL security personnel can successfully prevent any 50+ year old single childless males from entering the building. They have no business attending a women's hockey game and no justifiable interest in the sport at all.

Unemployed huh? What do you know about me Dr. skatefast? Here's an FYI for you moron, I worked at minimum, 5 days a week and 7 days a week normally starting before the age of ten. No less than 50 hours a week, and usually closer to 70 from the age of 17 through my 48th year. Anywhere from 1-3 part time jobs simultaneously along with full time employment for over twenty of those years. Took about three weeks off during that stretch...a couple sick days. That's a minimum of forty years and a real, verifiable crap load of hours. Want to check my time cards...see my W2's...inspect my SS earnings statements. Since you expressed such an interest in my employment maybe you'd like the facts. You're certainly entitled to them right? Find a different bull doody characterization ya "creep."

Now tell everyone how harmless, off hand and innocent your characterization was...and how it certainly didn't warrant the response it got, as you're fond of doing.

The article mentions that first game for UMD at Ohio. It's safe to say that the Buckeyes want another game like that and we CANNOT have another game like that. Which hopefully means a really good hockey game for both teams.

Have to admit my stomach's already a little knotted up for this series!!! I'm hopeful that 'Dogs will prove to be stronger in net and have a little better depth.

I don't know that UMD is deeper up front. Where I think the Bulldogs have the edge is on the blue line; the Buckeyes don't really have anyone like Wong, and maybe not a Lacquette either, although being young, she is still a bit more error prone.

Thanks for that link Skatefast. The thing I remember about that first game was Natalie Spooner scored all four of our goals. Hopefully it will be a good series this weekend.

I think they heard you, but it took until Saturday for the speed of sound to get your statement down here to Columbus where your team could hear it. I didn't make it to the Saturday game, but from what I read, UMD shut us down pretty good in that one.

Question: How are the Bulldog faithful currently evaluating their team? Last fall, when UMD came to Columbus, the Bulldog fanbase was pretty down on their squad. Now things seem to be on a much more even keel. Was it just a matter of a slow start? A realization that our league is truly strong and deep this year? Something else? Obviously UMD is accustomed to being a little higher in the standings. But I'm certainly expecting that we'll see a very formidable Bulldog team this weekend, like always. Comments?

I think where UMD is stronger is their toughness. If it's a physical series it will bode well for the Dogs if it's open up and down style I like the Bucks. I'd hate to imagine UMD fan's if OSU were to sweep. And isn't weird that UMD is in this position of maybe dropping out of the top 10. It will be a good series and I bet fun to watch.
