I would be ok with that no reason to rush back for a non-conference series. AFter this weekend the schedule gets really tough. Northern, Michigan, Lake St. and Miami to finish off the first half of the season.

so that I don't have to look it up:) -- when was the last time the Buckeyes had back to back shutouts? 6-0 over Alaska and now 4-0 over UAH.

Well let's hope we can answer that question after Saturday nights game. Maybe we can make it 3 shutouts in a row.

Nice night for the Buckeyes! I know UAH is having a rough season, but I'll take a shutout on the road anyday! Let's go for the sweep tomorrow! Go Bucks!

Too bad it's not a conference matchup. Other teams will be catching up in points this weekend.

Ohio State last had two straight shutouts as a team Nov. 18-19, 2005, against Lake Superior State in Columbus.

Got the sweep with a final score of 2-0. Hope the boys got enough workout to keep coming together as a team, no offense to A-H.

3 straight shutouts. Now the fun begins conference games for the rest of the season starting at noon on friday. This team is really coming along.

As if we don't have enough trouble getting attendance up they schedule a noon weekday game so we might get a dozen or so to attend! Who's the brains behind this one?

This weekend series was like taking candy from a baby. We will see what the Bucks are made of from now until Christmas break as the meat of the schedule starts. I think the team will put up a good fight. It's going to take a team effort to earn the CCHA points. GO BUCKS GO.

So which would be better, Friday at noon or a Thurs/Sat or Sat/Sun series or is there schedule conflicts there too? Guess despite the coaching and other changes we're still at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to OSU sports.

• This is the first time in Ohio State history the Buckeyes have had three-consecutive shutouts. The shutout streak is 195:51, dating to the third period vs. Alaska Oct. 28

If my math is correct, we have also killed 29 of 31 penalties (including a couple of 5 on 3s) dating back to the first period of the Friday game of the MI State series. It would be great not to take so many penalties (UAH was not called for a single penalty in the game last night...), but at least when we have been short-handed we have defended well. Northern will definitely be a challenge; they have had OSU's number the last few years.

Whenever the question involves OSU athletics, no matter what the actual question is, the answer is money.

I know it's early for a lot of Ohio State fans to be thinking about it, 4 and a half months early but did you know tickets for the CCHA finals at the Joe went on sale last week?

And also, tickets for the Frozen Diamond Faceoff are on sale now, too! I am guessing those tickets will go fast! Mrs 86 and I got ours!
