Like Brady said, "It's quicker". That tournament mishap does not take away from an amazing season that included a B1G Championship for the first time since 1985-86 (yes, even the NCAA Champion team in '89 didn't win one) and getting so much national exposure with gameday.

Yeah, that extra syllable just takes so much more effort. Maybe we should just call Michigan, M. After all, it's quicker...

Not taking away from what the team did in the regular season Big Ten regular season CO champions was a nice little accomplishment. And losing to Ohio State (a final four team) in the semi finals, nothing to be ashamed of either :p

They played satisfied. The goal was to win the B1G Championship. They put all their egg in one basket and did it. This year, I expect a repeat as champion, and maybe even a run to the Final Four with the team they have now.

Anyone know of a place to see Highlights of Sat nights game? I've looked around and can't find any.

Believe it or not a lot of us are bummed that again we have no away game at Yost which I think has some of the greatest atmosphere in college hockey. If you can take a win from Michigan on their home ice you really have to earn it which forces a team to always elevate their game.
I like your assement of Hunwick who I refer to as the "Little goalie who could". I got the biggest kick out of seeing him in Michigan gear his first night down with the Jackets as they had absolutly nothing in the equipment room to fit him.

I thought it was a great move by the Jackets in that last game to pull Mason and put Hunwick in late in the game so he could get some playing time in an NHL game. I may be an OSU fan, but I am a Hunwick fan, too. Kid was a great backstop for Michigan.

So what are everyone's thoughts on the trip to Quinnipiac? Can we sweep or should we be content with a split? We just split with the #13 ranked team in the country on the road. Is there any reason to think we couldn't pull off a sweep at Quinnipiac?

Although i would love a sweep, Quinnipiac did beat a pretty good Maine team. So a split on the road is never a bad thing.

Always go for the big WIN on Friday night to take the pressure off of getting swept on Saturday. Then go for the SWEEP on Saturday night. :)

Re: Ohio State 2013/2014 - Third year in Oz

If they play both nights with the determination they had last Saturday then I'd say a sweep is possible.

I will be content with a split. Interested to see who gets the starts in goal. Likely a split weekend there too.

I think they will alternate at least through the Bowling Green Series.

I would expect the rotation to continue as well. We might see Olson on Friday night this weekend. How long we see the rotation i would guess atleast through november would be my guess.

I think Brady H was really nervous on Friday night due to his first game back in his old College rink. And that the team was sluggish in front of him.

Yes, it's Osiecki's job to put a decent OSU program first, but more importantly it's his job to develop players. There are dozens of first year players that don't adjust to Collegiate hockey but with proper coaching and mentoring they usually adjust and in most cases grow in maturity and develop their skills. If a coach craps out on you the word spreads quickly and you run the risk of losing good players to other hockey programs. Most of these scholarship players have numerous schools waiting to offer the chance to be in their programs. If OSU makes a habit of releasing players, where do you think future prospects will decide to go?

hmmmmm
