I've heard it at more than hockey games :rolleyes:

NMU does the same thing kind of thing except they say "and Tech still sucks!"

Not sure who started it first.

BGSU has copied that from us also. Now they say ... "and Toledo still SUCKS!"

I am anxious to see how we match up this weekend vs WMU who obviously is playing very well. Any points would be great. We are 1 up on AF and 1 down to FS. We have 2 games in with both of them. I hope that makes a difference down the road.

We've heard that on a number of occasions. Mrs 86 is a BGSU grad so we have spent some time at the venerable BGSU Ice Arena. That is actually a great place to see a college hockey game. The atmosphere beats the crap out of the Schott. Was it this thread where someone said that it looks like the lower bowl will be filled for the games against Michigan in a week and a half? They might actually have to open the curtain and sell tickets for the upper deck. We're going to this Saturday's game against WMU, then we're hitting the Friday night game vs Michigan.

Any Points this weekend and i think the buckeyes will get that 2nd bye. I am looking forward to see how they match up against maybe the best team in the league.

I thought we played very well with Western tonight.
When that shot went over the goalie and slowly crossed the crease right along the goal line it seemed like time froze. If only one of our guys would have been on the far side of the crease he would have had the easiest goal of his career!
So now we're tied with Ferris for 4th but I didn't realize until I checked Ferris's schedule tonight they have a bye next week so we have a really good chance to get 4th place locked up by seasons end and we're in the rare position in late season that our destiny in completely in our hands.
Who else thought the OSU fan in the horse mask riding the zamboni was hilarious?

I thought they played a very good game as well. The only thing i would like to see tomorrow is more shots, Max and Dinzgel had great chances and passed them up you have to shoot the puck when given chances against this team. The Buckeyes do have a great chance to get that 4th seed and with a win tomorrow they would be in the drivers seat. When Johnson hit that cross bar on the first shift i thought boy this could be a tough night but they responded and had some chances to win the game. I had seen Western against BG but didnt realize how fast they were until tonight. They take time and space away very well from the netural zone on in and force everything to the boards where they almost always out number you 3-1. Looking foward to seeing how the guys adjust after tonight.

I agree it was frustrating that some of the guys didn't pull the trigger when they had the chance. Can't take time to think about what you want to do, got to let your hockey instincts take over!

Best game of the year by far. Even down 2-1 and 3-2 i felt pretty good about them coming back. The buckeyes controlled the hockey game almost through out. Getting 4 points out of this weekend his huge towards not only getting a bye but home ice with the bye. Now on to Michgian Week!

Quick post about Fri first. WMU skated strong all game so I was happy to get the point. We hit 2 posts and as mentioned had that one skirt the goal line. Shootout was not our friend again.

Now tonight real proud of the guys. We seemed to be the attacking team, and a beautiful 4 goal 2nd period! This team has had a knack for that this season, where 1 goal can open the floodgates and we impose our will.

Congrats to Sesh on the hat trick! Also to Tanner Fritz on a 4 pt night, and props to Hjelle on getting an assist!

3 points in the next 2 weekends will clinch up at least 5th. I had this discussion before would you guys rather finish 5th and go on the road only needing 2 wins to get to detroit or finish 6th and get a home series but still need 2 road wins and 4 total to get to detroit? I would rather finish 5th.
