I didn't see what happened on the internet broadcast and they don't show replays but the announcers said they didn't see spearing, just an elbow to the head.

That's my point. Bad reffing in both games. It's sad because it just hurts both teams & slows the tempo of the game down when the games are Reffed poorly. :)

I didnt see what happened it was behind the play but i thought the refs did a pretty nice job this weekend. On the drive home i had a lot of time to think about last nights game. I will give Ferris a lot of credit the 2nd game a lot of times is about adjustments and who ever does a better job of adjusting there game usually wins. Ferris adjusted a lot better than the Buckeyes did. They took away time and space all night long in all 3 zones and forced a bunch of mistakes and bad decisions. In their Defensive zone they took away all shooting lanes and the Buckeyes really never got much towards the net and when they did it was either knocked down by a defenseman or Mott kicked it aside. Next week is going to start a key 2 week stretch against the 2 UP teams and they better take advantage and win some games. I figure they need 9 of the 12 points because the February schedule is just plain brutal even though all but 2 of the games are at home.

A long winning streak would be nice.
Agreed. To advance in those rankings it won't be by who above you loses but by how and who you win against. Need to make postseason on our own and not hope for a chance of winning the CCHA tourney and the automatic berth that goes with it.

The February schedule is full of games that will tell us if this team can pull that off and not need to win the tournament to get in.

I've never been to Big Rapids but there was alot of talk how it's a tough place to play so I'll take the split. Next week head up to Marquette. NMU comes in at 10th but played Miami very tough last weekend up there with a win and shootout loss. 3 pts seems to be a must..

These next 2 weekends are going to be very important and may decide if they get a bye or have to play in the first round. That schedule in February is very tough and points might be at a premium.

The Sherwood Park Crusaders are extremely proud to announce that defenseman Josh Healey has committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes for the 2013-14 season.

Josh is currently in his second season with the Crusaders. He is from Edmonton and is a Southside Athletic Club Alumni. “Josh’s game has developed rapidly over the course of two seasons,” says General Manager/Head Coach Tim Fragle. “Josh consistently leads our team on a nightly basis in many areas as he is a tough defender that plays in all situations." Healey represented the Crusaders and Team Canada West at the 2012 World Junior A Championship this past November where he earned a silver medal.

“ I would like to thank my family, friends and especially my parents for all their support as well the Crusaders organization in helping me through the complete process of obtaining this scholarship,” says Josh Healey.

The Crusaders organization would like to congratulate Josh and his family on his commitment to Ohio State and would like to wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Josh becomes the 6th Crusader player from this year’s team to commit to a NCAA hockey program. Mike Berry-Bentley University, Andrew Taverner-Quinnipiac University, Danny Smith-RIT, Marshall Donald-Northern Michigan University, Matt Tomkins-Ohio State.

We're heading to the OSU Womens Hockey games against St. Cloud. They got swept up at Wisconsin last weekend so they need to get back on track. With the losses, they slipped into third place in the WCHA. I see the men are still holding down that 4th spot in the CCHA. Hopefully they can stay there or even move up between now and the end of the season!

Re: say hello to

Defensive breakdowns, questionable passing and puck handling. Same ol' same ol'. If your defense does it's job a single goal will win your game!
Hope for the split tomorrow.

I went to see BG and Western so i dont know what went down in the Buckeyes game tonight. From the box score it looks like a bad 3 minutes in the 2nd period cost them the game. Its nice to see Greco back and scoring again. they have got points in every CCHA weekend this year so i would expect them to bounce back tomorrow night with a better effort.
