The important thing is to ignore the last page or so and understand that Maroney is going to absolutely ruin some poor guys life as a total ***** ice queen. The first name being spelled "McKayla" is a warning shot.

In her defense, the gymnastics hair/makeup doesn't do her any favors in that regard.

It sucks she only took the silver, but ultimately, I think that just ends up a trivial footnote to her incredible vault in the team competition. Kind of like how Josh Hamilton technically lost the home run derby that year he hit like 50 home runs in the first round.

I noticed it when they put them on the cover of sports illustrated too. I think its her eyebrows.

Guessing he doesn't, just taking into account all of the training time leading up to games, I'm guessing that none of them have one. And I wouldn't feel too sorry, he should know what he's getting into with this one, and if he thinks its worth it, that's on him. I'm guessing that most 16 year old boys wouldn't turn it down, afterall, they're still pretty young and dumb, but then again, she is pretty bendy. :p

The comments have nothing to do with that. I mean, she's in the Olympics. That makes her a **** good gymnast. I don't think there's any doubt of that whatsoever. The comments have nothing to do with her gymnastic performance on the mat. (DO NOT "go there" with any comments on what I said...)

Gotta comment, here. I call this Don Quixote Syndrome. For those who don't remember, Don Quixote would perceive windmills as enemies attack them all thinking that they were monsters. This country has a bad case of this disease and not just from the right.

Sure. We're all spring loaded and ready to throw down. Like any idiot who saw racial motives in that promotional announcement for their NBC's new veternairan show with the monkey, coming right after Gabby Douglas.

Plus, in terms of more coverage for gymnastics and less of Rupp, remember, the networks play the long game here. Several years ago, CBS was stunned when they saw the ratings for figure skating at an Olympics. Huge numbers among women. Subsequently, we've been treated to many more figure skating "specials." I'd imagine they can provide you with similar data regarding gymnastics versus track and field. Despite Rupp's outstanding performance, he was generally unknown, with no easy narrative ("up close and personal") to drive the coverage. Easy call for NBC.

Of course if NBC hadn't of done the feature on the black Brit in the race, who is Rupp's training partner, they could have had time to do a feature on Rupp!!!! Conspiracy!!!! NBC hates white people!!!! And America!!!
