Massively Multiplayer Oriented (Role Playing Game.) In other words, World of Warcraft, Evercrack, etc.

If you have any sort of life, stay away. I know kids who have failed out of college because of WoW.

Actually it's Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing game or MMORPG. Come on Twitch, don't be such a scrub.

If you have an addictive personality it can be a really bad time sink because there is just so much to do. Occasionally Blizzard will even reference it with something in-game like the Time-Lost Proto Drake which can take weeks of constant camping just to glimpse.

And I'm sure we all know people who have failed out of college for one reason or another where they took something too far. I really hate any kind of implication that a game is addictive when it's just natural human tendency to prefer to do something fun over something that is not. Just because video games have some social stigmas attached to them doesn't make them any worse than say traveling 8+ hours to see your favorite hockey team play. It's just a matter of prioritizing what you're doing with your time.

(If anyone does want to do the 10 day trial thing, lemme send a recruit a friend thing cause you can earn free months if someone ends up buying a copy through that program)

Ok nerds enough about the MMO's please. Let's talk about something else: New PSP announced.

Called the NGP (Next Generation Portable) it apparently has all the gaming forums buzzing.

What's funny is someone posting on a video game thread on an internet message board calling someone else a nerd.

Also, are you saying you'd rather be associated with 12-year old boys cursing up a storm on XBL while playing the latest First person shooter?

Finally took delivery of my copy of LBP2. So I will probably be on this weekend if anyone wants to play.

Gah. Was about to win a UHL tournament in NHL 11 when my internet connection crapped out and I forfeited because I lost my connection to EA's servers. Crap.

Dante's Inferno was/is only $20 new at GS, so I made an impulse buy of that for PS3.

Better than wasting away my life with a keyboard and a mouse playing as a KnightElfMohawk. ;)

Also I won't ever have XBL, I don't agree with paying extra money to play games I've already paid for.

Lastly, Mute works just fine.

Yes I did. But not a ton. I transferred what I did have from 1 to 2 already.

I think LBP is very innovative, but I know I won't play 2 for very long before it ends up on a shelf, so I was happy to get it at a discounted price this time.

Played through Mass Effect 2 twice. Finally bit the bullet and bought Mass Effect. Same price.

For any fans of Starcraft 2, check out some Day9 goodness for some Funday Monday. (challenges for players to do matches in absurd ways) He put himself under some goofy rule for changing up how he looks at games which is why he's more sillier than usual.

Some more nerdy wow-ness, Paragon downing the Ascendant Council on 25 man heroic. I would have posted their kill of Nefarian where they abused a boss mechanic and rubbed it in Blizzard's face but that fight isn't as visually impressive.

Another Pokemon Update.

Found out yesterday that Feb 21-Mar 6 Gamestop is giving away a Celebi which can be transfered to the new Black/White to gain access to a another special character.

This week is the last release of the 3 shiny characters (Suicuine).

Dunno, I can say I enjoyed the 3 multiplayer maps I played and the Zombies map definitely has potential. Then again, I am not hard to please. There does seem to be areas to snipe from on atleast 2 of the maps.

No map pack is worth $15. Map packs that $5? Maybe.
