I was right. They dropped $102m on me for January.

Picked up 4 players. A youth AM (10m), a DC (10m), MC (10m), and a striker named Torres (75m). :)

Dumped 2 over the hill strikers in Julio Cruz and Hernan Crespo. Oh and Figo is crying about no playing time, but he is retiring at the end of the season so I don't care. He can't play over 60 minutes without being tired anyways.

Apparently Starcraft II now has an official release date: July 27.

The beta's been fun, though nothing revolutionary. Still not sure I wanna shell out $60 for 1/3rd of a game (since it only comes with one single player campaign).

Yeah this is why I am not getting it. Maybe someday down the road they will combine them and lower the price.

Anyone else been playing the Halo: Reach Beta?

I haven't play Halo since last summer, but God this game is fun. Reminds me so much of H1.

Not so much. The pistol's really only good at Close to Close Mid range. The DMR, which is a combo of the BR and Pistol, is good for longer range. Both are 5 shot kills.

The biggest thing is reticule bloom. Spam the trigger and your reticule gets larger making timed shots key, as well as keeping composed during battles.

Smaller clips in both weapons means if you miss a few shots you'll be in big trouble.

Health packs and fall damage are back as well.

WSM Update:

My new owner at Inter is worse than the russians. For the start of the season 2 (09-10), he gave me $148m in transfer money. Then in late July he dumped another 35.5m into the coffers just for the heck of it. :D

So for the most part I bought responsibly, spending 10-30m on needed players. But I did make a 2nd big splash and pick up a 24 yr old Christiano Ronaldo for 90m.

I expect to easily repeat as Serie A winners. My real goal for this season is to win the Champions League. I lost in First knockout stage last year to Olympique Lyonnais (2-1 agg).

My Starting 11 now: Torres, Imbrahimovic, Ronaldo, Zanetti, Cambiasso, Diego, Chivu, Samuel, Marcano, Maicon, Ceasar

I think i've gotten rid of most of the first team dead weight now also (Figo, Crespo, Viera, etc.).

Only 2 days till 3D Dot Game Heroes (ps3).
Only 9 days till Red Dead Redemption (ps3/360).


XBL had a preview of Lego Harry Potter 1-4 (6/29/10, wii/ps3/360). I am definitely getting that. I might even pay full price for it.

Highly recommend Mass Effect 2. I'm playing through it right now. It's not like Mass Effect 1, where you can skip all the side missions and go right through the game quickly. Heck, just scanning all the planets to build up your resources so you can upgrade your weapons and armor will take some time alone.

The storyline has been very good so far and I really enjoy how they carry over decisions in ME1 to plots in this game. Even the little things, such as in ME1 I punched that female reporter who was being disrespectful in an interview with me. In ME2, I encountered her again and she refreshes my memory that I socked her once before (and for the record, I punched her again :D).

In terms of battles, you won't be able to just go gung ho in ME2 like you could in ME1. I'm playing through on Normal difficulty and just had a battle where I had to revive my teammates five times during the big fight at the end of the mission using Unity. Perhaps I could have done a better job directing my team where to stand, I don't know, but they got rocked and I was very close to getting killed, too.

All the side missions are different in this one, too. It's not like ME1 where every planet is pretty much the same in that you drive a Mako around, go to enemy base, kill a few guys, the end. Each side mission is specific to the task at hand. Some are long, some are short. One side mission I just had to save some cargo crates from three enemy robots (though it took a lot to kill each one). Another side mission I just did for one of my team members dug in to this person's past, we encountered someone there, and at the end I had to decide whether to let this teammate kill this individual or not (I'll be interested to see how my decision affects this character later in the game).

If you get the game and decide to transfer over a character from ME1, keep in mind that your decision at the end of ME1 to either save the council or let them die will give you some different dialogue in ME2. One the I'm playing right now I saved the council. Next game through I'm going to choose my character where I let them die.

Enjoying the game a lot and it will be fun to play through again choosing different options.

I missed if Red Dead Redemption has online co-op. If so, that would be sweet.

I am picking up the 360 version, since that is the most common system among friends and internet peoples.

I think I read there's going to be free DLC that includes co-op mission kind of stuff.

That or I'm making it up in my head. The online lobby is going to be asinine. 360 posse to go hunt bears??
