@ Gophfan. Wow, You just don't get it.....Miami was considered a small school until their recent success and realisticly they still are. UMD has made the NCAA touney a whopping 5 time in the last 26 years. Now they are the National champs. Little schools can turn into big time contributors to college hockey. Most really hockey fans can look past their own arrogance to see what is at stake here.

yet at the same time where whining about schools like ferris state and BGSU . I like small school hockey but the fact that there programs entire existance shouldnt be based on big ten schools. nOBODY WANTS TO POINT THAT OUT. Thats why i dont feel bad for many small schools.

I highly doubt that Gophfan is a real Gopher fan. I would wager he/she lives a bit west of MNPLS.

those schools put money into there programs and dont need to pklay each other to survive.

Possible, but if someone suffered a tragic TBI or were deprived of oxygen in the womb, we wouldn't necessarily ban them from cheering for the Gophers. We might not choose to acknowledge them, but ...

Dirty has been studdying up on his geography. Well done dirty. I was thinking more like 230+ miles west. I am merely speculating. Regardless, he has been correct about one thing, that there has been a huge over reaction to the BTHC and the super conference is exactly just that.

Just got off the phone with Steve Cobb. He says right now the WCHA plan is to issue a general statement this Friday.
