Official Thread of the Leftover League

Re: Official Thread of the Leftover League

Whoa. What a weekend to not read the boards. I have much to do!

The Butt Hurt is not from the "Super Six" but the from the leftovers...

Exactly!!!!!!!!! How can we be the Butt Hurt Hockey Conference? All the Butt Hurt Fans are from the left overs.

Agreed. Happy saying that, if necessary, the NCAA will help the Alaska schools out is the epitome of trolling. What a jerk.

Not really sweetheart ... there are some angered at the way this happened. But there are more in this thread that want to talk about how things move forward without idiotic misinformation from some fan of a team that has no involvement.

So ... yeah ... DU, UND, UMD, CC and UNO fans can **** the **** right off. How is that so hard to do? There are now three other threads where such folks can share their invaluable opinions about how the remaining WCHA best move forward.

Dohkay. I am done with this thread. you're welcome

Yeah ... I think the first time I self-referred using that pejorative label (assuming you meant anal orifice) was probably nearly ten years ago.

And you really do come across as a troll.

the word started with a J. and I typically only troll in UND threads.

Re: Official Thread of the Leftover League

What part of **** off is so difficult for you to understand?

This is not an exclusive thread. Happy is contributing to the discussion, and you're just being a dick like always. Maybe you should leave.

Re: Official Thread of the Leftover League

Yeah, at Minneapolis. They won't be coming to Mankato. And, of course, we'll go along with it. After all, we played two of our "home" games against them at the X when they would have HAD to come down here.

Don't take it personal the Gophers will not be playing in Grand Forks, Denver/CC, or Omaha. There is nothing in it for them.

Pairwise?

Nope. From what I have heard this will be the Gophers schedule. Twenty games against the Big Ten which we have all heard. The non conference schedule will be eight to ten games against the old "WCHA" opponents preferably all at home but extremely unlikely. Two games against UMD every year. Two games at Christmas for the Mariucci classic. Two games against one of the CCHA cupcakes and finally two games against one of the HEA cupcakes at home. The Gophers are unlikely to leave Mpls more than four to eight games during their non conference schedule.

I'm sure they would "even up" against UND, because of the rivalry/money/etc. Otherwise, I'd guess 2-1 for other schools that are deemed "significant."

And for those of us who are insignificant, they might let us travel up to the mooch once in a while, as long as we behave ourselves.

They might but I don't believe the Gophers play UND more than two maybe three series a decade. That rivalry my friends is over. Growing up in the 70's the Michigan, Wisconsin and Michigan State WCHA series were the most important to the Gophers. They were just as big as the UND series. IMO, the WCHA was the best when all the Big Ten schools were together in the WCHA duking it out. I was saddened when they left the WCHA because I felt it would never be the same ever again. Especially kicking the snot out of Michigan. Minnesota is the only school to have a winning record over the ugly helmets.

Last I saw, the Gophers were entirely in the "cupcake" category. I don't know if it's appropriate for any Gopher fan to talk about the CCHA and/or HE "cupcakes" at this point.
