Huge necessary win for the Lakers tonight. Not winning simply wasn't an option. They did a good job coming back from getting scored on early with a quick response. Probably not the cleanest game I've seen Oswego play, they made Tufts look better than they are.
Any thoughts on the new guy(s) skating tonight we haven't seen before?

I thought the new guy Jackson (#9) had some nice shifts in his limited time. Paired up well with Galatti and looked like he has the speed and puck handling to fit right in.

Jackson played with Galati and Botten and fit right in. If not for some lousy play by Botten that line could have had a few goals. Durocher was solid although he, and all the rest, didn't throw the body very much. Not an amazing game but they got the win I suppose. Still a ton that needs to be worked on if they want to challenge for a league and national title again. The early game was the much better game of the two with a nice comeback by Nazareth to earn a very hard fought OT win.

Skipperbob nice comment about Jackson and I you are right on. Nice game for the Lakers with a bit more scoring opportunities and a lucky bounce Tufts would have made the game really exciting. Only trend that I don't like seeing from the Lakers is the very late goal that they are giving up. being up by 2 doesn't always mean a win with under a minute to play. I don't know how many times the Cards stuck us with under a minute to play to include a game winner with 1 second left to play.
Hopefully tonight's game will be a good one with us getting the W. Naz played us good last time for a first period and then we took over. The game will be different tonight.

One thing that may work in Oswego's favor against Naz is their game yesterday was insanely physical. There were bodies flying everywhere in that first game and the tempo of the games was incredibly quick. If Oswego comes out fast and picks up the physical play early, Nazareth may struggle later in the game.

we looked sluggish.like a team that hadnt played in a month
..passes were off and dzone was not good,but that is to be expected after a layoff and playing a team that doesn't have the umph that some other teams have. Jackson looked like he could fit in,he looked tired at points backchecking but that will get better as only his 1st game.Dourocher looked lost at times,but with time and game experience if he gets it he should improve.Zman stay in the net please...Defense has to pick it up tonight or Naz will hang 5 or so tonight....ps have a eye out for Oliveri he can move and score.,,,BIG thanks to the WTOP crew...

Herlihey and Jackson played with great hustle and it showed in the box score. It looks like the Lakers are back to playing the team game that got them so far last year. Would like to know if King will play this year or if he has been redshirted. The CSS and TUFTS game TUFTS was just out sized and played. Did anyone hear who will be at next years tourney???

Oswego still needs to get a lot better playing the cycle in both zones. In transition they are great but if the game gets bogged down they struggle. Jackson is an excellent addition to the Laker lineup, he made an immediate impact at both ends of the ice this weekend.

Scrappy win,like mentioned before hustle goals,nothing to pretty,Hulshof goal was a snippppp. Herlihy plays with passion,and skill has been more than expected.Jackson has skill as well,he will only get better as the season goes on as he hasnt played for a while . Barton saved a goal in the 2nd with his backchecking.Willis I like plays hardnose hockey.We need to cover points better...Question, who does more spin-o-ramas Johnson or Rageseo??..Nice tourny win,I believe Hobart is next they are good as always and will be a close game..Good question will King,not sure what is wrong with him, and Davies redshirt?? Not sure if its done to much in D3??

One thing that irked me about last nights games was Zdolshek and his flopping. Maybe if he had spent more time on his rebound control than his acting he might not have gotten torched for 5 goals. Just play the game and try to win with some integrity.

I had the feed up and was laughing at him after the Montagna goal. He was out to the blue line pleading his case that it was a high stick....if he would have thrown just one punch I would have thought we had a new Walker in the making....Oswego may not have looked the best, but Naz looked awful. Can't wait to see them in next years stout Plattsburgh Buck Classic along with Colby and Framingham State....(sense the sarcasm).....
