As the mid-season break comes to a close, I got a couple numbers for you guys to consider:

9 - games Oswego will play in January. More games than in any other 1 month of the season, 3 of which are conference games

12 - number of games Oswego will play before running into Geneseo and Plattsburgh back-to-back (6 days apart technically)

20 - number of wins Oswego will have if it can sweep those 12 plus Potsdam in the last game of the season

5 - number of points Oswego is behind Plattsburgh in the SUNYAC standings

9 - SUNYAC games Oswego has left

7 - SUNYAC games Plattsburgh has left

1 - point lead Plattsburgh would have in standings if both Plattsburgh and Oswego win their respective SUNYAC games leading up to the whiteout game of 2/20

41:14 - Amount of more ice time Zawadzki has had over Gilbert so far this season

5.00 - Avg goals per game for Oswego's offense in the SUNYAC, good for #1 in the SUNYAC

1.89 - Plattsburgh's GAA in the SUNYAC, good for #1 in the SUNYAC

28.57% - Oswego's PP % in the SUNYAC, good for #1 in the SUNYAC, Plattsburgh clocks in at 10.81% in the SUNYAC

100% - Penalty kill % for Fredonia in the SUNYAC. However, they've allowed an average of 4.33 goals per game in SUNYAC tilts. They allow goals, just not on the PP, though they have had less penalty minutes than any other team in the SUNYAC

6 - teams that will qualify for the SUNYAC playoffs

4 - teams will play in the semifinals

2 - teams will play in the Championship

1 - team will take home the SUNYAC championship and the resulting bid to the NCAA tournament. Let's hope it's the boys in green again this year.

Plattsburgh's "Mystery Player" has left town and will not be playing any hockey for the Cards. Apparently, the academic end of things was the problem. The fact that he moved to town and enrolled at the Community College led us all to believe he was a second semester addition. I've heard he had loads of talent. Too bad, could've used him.

sucks,I guess until the player gets on the ice ya never know.I am pretty sure Platty will do well in the 2nd half this yr without a IMP.

as/the new roster...smith is gone...new player is John Jackson F, 6' 195 from the Jersey Hitmen,same team a current frshman Ferreria,46g 11g 45a for 56pts in 2013-14.Not sure what he has been doing/player,it was said he was a D1 transfer??? Looks like he has some skills,the USPHL send a boatload of kids D1,we shall see, good luck to him........ow he is from Oklahoma :eek:

He had 56 points with the Hitmen last season. Other than that I know nothing about him.

wait and see what he can do,this is a tough line-up to crack,I thought Smith was a pretty good skilled player,and he didnt get much ice this yr,he will play a ton on most other teams.The usphl seems to be sending guys D1,last yr the Hitmen sent 10 players D1 and Ferraira to Oswego,this yr so far they have 5 going D1,also Jackson had 17 more pts than Ferraira if that means anything:confused:...I would imagine he didnt have the grades to get into school at the beginning of the semester and did a stint and at a juco??

I like Nazareth against Scholastica. They've faced the toughest schedule in the NCAA by some measures and have a Great coach.:)
