Nice weekend for the Lakers, 91 shots on goal and only two penalties where they were shorthanded. Nice Christmas gift for the team and fans and now we wait until January 2.

Just back from the BIg city,looks like Oz crushed Da Bears,nice weekend,whats with Genny and WOW that goalie from Cortland must be sore:eek:

Great weekend for the kids.
I think the Frozen Dome event was spectacular but somehow it distracted our players, those 3 games in 5 days, may prove to be the low point of the season. I thought the kid's, this weekend, were right back to the level they were before the Frozen Dome thing.
Observations.
1. Barton and Yorke have been our best 5on5 duo all year.(I'm not related)
2. Neil has struggled to score for a few games it was nice to see him get 1. They broke up the big line and moved Neil away from Montagna and Hulsaf, I think for both games. Mixed results.
3. The power play has not looked as good as it did early on.
4. I think the goaltending question is over, Z has earned the spot, and I can't see anyone get enough minutes this year to push from the spot.
5. The SUNYAC official web site has us loseing twice to Genesso, this will probably effect our natioanl ranking, someone should fix that.
Anyways, great weekend of Hockey.

just checked the Cortland goalie faced 128 shots this weekend:eek:...and I am not talking about Bacardi or Jack daniels

Cortland has some decent scorers and a pretty good young goalie but they play no defense. Which is odd considering Joe Cardarelli coached with Eddie and Dan Jones played for him and Eddie is a team defense type of coach.

any idea why we have yet to see Trent Durocher?? perhpas his skating is not up to snuff,he is a big guy and they tend to struggle adjusting to college hockey?? Also hope Davis is on the road to recovery,those injuries suck.

Durocher did play a game recently. Just trying to fit in.. Alex D'oliveira has not played yet also, he was highly recruited. he will be in the lineup soon. Davies is mending well.

Good to hear Davies is getting better..as per the stats D'Oliveria has played 1 game and Durocher zero,I think he did get on the ice in the exhibition game vs USA18,thought we would see more of him,as for D'Oliveria,the d is stacked,and can only dress 6...

Looks like Platty may have a "mystery player " coming in at the break, anything brewing in Oswego??.......or any other school??

Indeed, he is considered a "IMP"......Impact Mystery Player. We need one more quality offensive player to match up with you guys.

Pathfinder should be broadcasted online right? I know there won't be many students there, but I need something to look forward to!

Then again, North Korea may say no to the broadcast.

Radio for sure...don't think there is tv, but I will check...

UPDATE: I stand corrected WTOP will broadcast Lakers' Pathfinder games... Ho Ho Ho

Dylan Smith has left the team and I believe the school.
Oswego has a new Div. 1 transfer, a forward. Does anyone know his name?

no idea about the transfer,Smith only played in 2 games so far this yr,played in 16 last yr,I guess not good enough??I think he also played golf as well,to be expected,as some players will just not get all the ice they think they should get,best of luck to him.I would imagine someone on this thread will know who the new player is,Laker28 perhaps,or Lou??..I guess this is our IMP just like platty has one coming in,should be interesting to see whos who.:D
