Mid-Terms and such I believe. Plus students have to pay, so they don't usually pack it in anyway.

The mettle of this young group will be fully tested here and if they make a fifth straight final four that would be one heck of an accomplishment. I agree. I know I didn't expect to be watching Oswego in the SUNYAC finals this year, let alone the NCAA's. I have no idea what Bowdoin is about this year? They normally can put some points on the board.

Team Defense. Oswego 2.39-Bowdoin 2.85
Goalie Stats. Oswego- Matt Zawadzki 13-2-2, 2.24 GAA, .918 SV% --- Bowdoin- Max Fenkell 8-2-2, 2.79 GAA, .905 Sv%
SOS Oswego 0.5051--- Bowdoin 0.4959

On paper we look to be the better team, lets hope that holds up when push comes to shove

If the same group of students springs for this game like they did to go to Genny, we should be ok. While I'm not thrilled the game is on Wednesday, it will be better than playing in a half empty CC on Saturday with the students gone on break.

At this point, Bowdoin (and their fans) won't even need directions to Oswego. They must get a hotel discount at this point. The selection committee probably already has them penned into next year's bracket too. :D

You sleep in the bed you make, not sure why the Card's got sloppy at the end, but IMO we stole one from Oswego before, so we had it coming. It is nice to see 2 SUNYAC teams heading to the NCAA's.

Let's face it Norm, Plattsburgh has crushed Oswego's dreams a lot more than the other way around. In 07-08 and 08-09 the Lakers entered the post season on a tear only to see their season end at the hands of the Cards. I have always felt if they could have gotten by the Cards and into the NCAA's they realistically could have won three titles in a row. Those two years they really struggled in the first semester only to reach another level in the second but they never could get over the mountain that is Plattsburgh.

I agree, but only posted the most recent one, I'm rooting for Oswego as long as they are in it, then Geneseo, then Adrian, Norwich (Except against Salem, other than the SUNYAC, I'd love to see Salem go all the way), and then ...

In 2012 Platty did take the SUNYAC title but at least Oswego still made the NCAA's only to lose to David Jacobson and Cody Keefer in Lake Placid.

There was a ton of lousy defensive play from Oswego in those highlights, a lot of unnecessary diving around and not moving screens. They got away with it there but likely will not going forward so they will need to tighten it up if they want to advance.

You can bet your bottom dollar Coach G is going to have a refresher on team D and PK this week.

I think they got too comfortable and got away from their game a bit, then started to panic when it got close. To their credit they did calm down enough to steal the win at the end but you know what they say about playing with fire and such. With that said, If any game going forward has them tied or in the lead with under five to play, I like their chances, if they are behind, not so much.

there was a lot of standing around watching the puck carrier instead of going after him as they did in the beginning of the game.

a few more stats..oswego powerplay ranked 4th and Pen KIll 48th:eek:...Bowdin Powerplay 15th....PK 24th....Not sure why we have had problems on the PK, I think it comes when we give the opposition to much time and space,I think its like our forecheck,when we are aggressive like vs.platty we can bottle them up, we need more of that on the PK.As for the PP we are clicking for sure..Special teams will be big... We had 30 more Pp chances than PK's,need to keep that ratio at least wed night.
