The Women have solid defense and excellent goaltending, the offense is a little lacking to be able to compete with the top teams but it is good to see them taking some steps in the right direction. I still feel like the coach is holding them back a bit and it will be interesting to see what happens next year without Boersen, Seamont, Jarvis, St. Clair and Smetaniuk to lead them. The rookies have been solid, especially Bridget Hamlin, she reminds me of a female Mike Lukajic with the way she plays only she plays a little more defense than he did.

As for injuries on the men's side, I know injuries are never good but Neil and Galati have really carried a lot of the goal scoring load and when they are in the lineup it seems like guys are deferring to them the responsibility of getting the big goals. If they are not there some others are more likely to take the reigns and get things done. Ultimately if whichever goalie is in the net on a particular night gives the boys a chance to start feeling good about themselves then they have a real shot in the upcoming playoffs. If the net fills up early than it will be time to look forward to next year.

we used to have some inside info back in the days,a few yrs ago:D, I guess we will see whats what in 47hrs or so, hope some of the injuries have healed,I am sure Coach G will not play hurt players, he seems like that type of coach which is good for the players..Good luck to the womens team as well......as for the netminder on Wed. flip the old coin, and let Zman call it.who knows:eek:

You guys are crazy if you don't start Zawadski the rest of the way. Did Gilbert cave in Plattsburgh the other night. The speculation up here is that he pulled himself from the game. Makes you wonder how his teammates view that. Did he come to the bench and say "Guys, I've gotta get out of here before I cost you the game." It didn't look like Zawadski was informed he was going in until sometime during that free 5 minute timeout Oswego took.

Agree we will see Zman tomorrow, not sure about the Gilbert thing, pulling yourself??..as for the 5 min T.O. doesnt each team have 1 5 minute and 1 one minute timeout:D:D:p

I'm hearing that classes were cancelled at Oswego today due to the weather. Assuming the game still happens tonight (Why wouldn't it, right?), be prepared for an incredibly inebriated student section who have had all day to pre-game...

I think tonight's game really rests on the shoulders of Titanic, Rivait and Gertsakis in terms of showing the younger guys what it will take to win in the post season.

As per usual against Fredonia, getting and extending the lead early will be key, if they are still in it in the third they like their chances.

This will be a team effort for sure, starting with discipline,I am sure if we get off to a fast start, it will get chippy keep out of the box and we should take it...hope the studentS show up,always nice to have the home crowd behind ya.

WHAT i used to walk through blizzards to get to class................i mean the campus bar:p..yes youngsters the campus bar or Rat as they used to call it.

I guess that was just one more thing that this crew of officials didn't see LOL. I Say, that if in fact, it was a time-out, it was an awfully long one. My best guess is that it dragged on for a good 4 minutes.. Perhaps, with tongue fully in cheek, it was just long enough for the Cards to cool off a bit!

As of 3pm the sun is out...looks like the worst is over for snow but still very windy. Be careful if coming from out of town. College lots should be all plowed out.
