Today is the second day in a row classes were canceled, which is unheard of. I'm really hoping for a good crowd tonight, but I have my doubts. The students have barely showed up to a lot of games this year, so if they're sitting at The Shed at 5pm, they aren't leaving for the game. And with 2+ feet falling on the city on the last two days, a lot of people are getting home from work with a good amount of snowblowing to do.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a sparse crowd, especially for a Wednesday. I hope I'm wrong. This is most likely the last home game of the year. The only way they get another is if the Lakers win tonight and win at Platty on Saturday AND either Buff St or Brockport has to beat Genny on their ice. It's possible, but who knows.

We could conceivably beat both Platty and Geneseo, adding to our record against ranked teams, giving us a 4-2-2 record, ranking us high enough for a home game in the first round. It's a long shot, but yeah this is probably it for home games.

You never know. With Norwich 3 points behind Babson I would have never guessed that Norwich would end up in winning the league. Thanks to the St Mike's tie with Babson.

ahhhh, the high's and low's of a season.....A week ago some of you thought the Lakers couldn't beat anybody. Now, some of you have them winning tonight, Saturday in Plattsburgh and the following Saturday in Geneseo !! Oh well, I'd be blowing that same trumpet. Godspeed !

That seems about right on the crowd. Student section was low again tonight, but that corner crowd with the signs are steady, and may even be growing a bit? I think we'll see the students back when this team starts pouring in goals as they mature?

Lakers had the game in control most of the night, but just could not put Fredonia away. They must bury the puck on the break away and partial they had tonight to advance again. They got a little to pretty on Fredonia's last goal, didn't take the shot, coughed it up, and Fredonia was off to the races. Rivait had to have eight blocked shots himself tonight, and everyone else jumping in front of pucks all night...good playoff hockey.

They did enough in their own end to get the win but man do they need to start burying some of those wide open chances. They also need to stop giving the momentum back to the other team by taking penalties and/or turning the puck over. Rivait, Gertsakis and Titanic did exactly what they needed to do in showing the younger guys what it takes to win in the playoffs and if guys like Barton can find the twine more often they can make a run.

Good win for sure we will take them anyway we can..Reffing was inconsistant to say the least.Our D were very aggressive pinching in the Offensive zone at the beginning of the game but bailed as the game went on,if they have the 3rd forward high they should continue to do it it keep the pressure up,they did great in blocking shots,yes Rivat blocked a bunch.Gotta cash in on the SH breakaway,they then came back and scored,2 goal turnaround.Great to see barton score again he works his @#@$ off,that line played well..No Neil Hushof and Wills again?? Must be really hurt,sucks because they may need that scoring come sat night.Win and your in simple as that:D..zman was there when we needed him,and their netminder seemed to be in the right place most of the night, we hit him with a ton of shots and missed several rebounds.

They didn't announce the attendance. That should be a clue. Crowd was very sparse. Box score says just over 1600, but the BIS count (butts in seats) was closer to 1200.

24 hrs til puck drop, and update on injuries?? should be a great game,lets hope the Zman can continue his netminding where he left off in Platty....

Neil is still limping and not on the ice for practice....but nothing "official". Wasn't going to ask the young man but great kid. Mingling with the Plattsburgh fans.

thnks, i would imagine if he missed his first ever college playoff game vs Freddy,he had to be pretty bad,to bad he has mad skills for sure.Hulshof would be a nice edition as well,and Wills was playing some good hard hockey as well,should be a great exciting game.
