Official Drinking Thread: 7&7s for Everyone!

Someone needs to find a carton (yes, a carton) of Chibuku Shake Shake for the next Frozen 4 tailgate in St. Paul. Then, we need to find someone to volunteer to actually drink it.

Google it.

I'd try it.

On a brighter note, it's time for the Evan Williams single barrel release and I'm told it's a decent bottle for ~$30.

If I am going to spend $30 on a bottle of whiskey, I would just pay the extra for Jack Daniels.

Tried a few new beers last weekend. Ordered some beer called Dragon Lady, since the description at the restaurant/bar made it sound good (which it was). The waitress brings me a bomber with a Xena Warrior Princess looking lady in medievel lingerie on the label. I read the label, and find the stuff is from friggen Lithuania! Turns out it was a pretty dang good beer, from Lithuania. My fiance ordered a different beer, and that one was from Lithuania too! It was also tasty.

Then we stopped and got a variety of Boulevard beers at the brewery before leaving KC.

Tonight, it Western NoDak, it was Moose Drool and Premo, and now I'm about to crack a Leinie's Snowdrift Vanilla Porter.

Order the computer online. You'll save some money and the store never closes.

There is a mobile service in Manhattan that will come to your apartment and give you an IV infusion to cure a hangover.

for a couple hundred dollars a doctor will deliver a hangover cure right to your front door.

The “miracle elixir” comes in the form of an IV drip chock-full of vitamins, minerals and medications, according to a representative for The I.V. Doctor.

The I.V. Doctor sends medical professionals on a house call to hook the IV up to patients’ arms. It takes 45 minutes for the concoction — which is made up of sodium chloride, potassium and an anti-nausea medication — to enter the system.

The powerful potion provides “the equivalent of a gallon of water,” helping ease headaches, dry mouths and queasy stomachs, company reps boast. The service runs $199 to $249 and is headed by a licensed urologist.

In medical parlance, it's a service that goes around to dole out banana bags. They've been using that IV at hospitals for a long time now, the only new catch here is that they deliver it to your door like a pizza.

Anderson Valley Bourbon Barrel Stout

As a Wild Turkey fan, I like this, but I suspect even Turkey haters would enjoy this. Besides, it's only 6.9%, which is pussified by Turkey standards. ;)

Beer Dabbler was awesome, tried about 20-25 new craft beers (samples). Took note of a few good ones to keep an eye out for at the liquor store.

Stopped at the liquor store on the way home to look for new/rare beers. Found some good ones, and picked up some more Central Waters Bourbon Barrel Stout, which is excellent. Also got a bomber of a Deschutes 25 year anniversary imperial stout, a Lift Bridge Russian Imperial Stout that we tried at the dabbler, and a few sour beers that the fiance loves. They had 1 bottle left of Dark Island Reserve....so tempted, but couldn't justify another bottle of it. $42 is pretty steep.

Beer, shmeer.

Spent the day bar hoppin in south Florida drinking rum, both mixed and blended.

Doesn't even faze me (much) that we're down to OSU right now. :)

Young's Double Chocolate Stout, then it was some Basil Hayden's. Both are so tasty

I found KCCO beer in Eagan! Big Top Liquors to be exact.

They have ample stock. Bought a case. Hoven was right. Once it hits your lips it is sooooooo good.

I think they will be like the KBC...a few stores here and there, and then more widespread. I never realized they are in with Red Hook brewery, so that will help.

There are at least 7 places within 10 miles of here that have it. I found that out this morning after the hangover.
