What do they do when the Tenderness comes back? There's nowhere for him to play other than the fourth line.

I'm sure that someone else will be out with an injury by then (not being pessimistic, just that injuries are part of the game) and that way you hopefully won't have to mess with the chemistry on the other lines.

The New York Times has an AWESOME story about Derek Boogaard's growing up and his tough path to the NHL. Definitely worth the read.

And another story focused on Derek but more about the problems enforcers face and stuff. 2 long, but very well written pieces.

However I'm on my phone and pasting the links didn't work for me, if somebody else wants to pull them up and paste them.

Possibly a matchup of the two best teams in the NHL with Boston playing at Pittsburgh tonight...

Boston continues to roll. Meanwhile, the Leafs bounce back and hang on to beat the Rangers 4-2. Toronto's the only team this season to beat NYR at the Garden. :)

With Boston and their streak, no one is paying attention to the capable and dangerous rangers who are amassing wins as well. They have a lot of the parts to be a serious contender in the east and will be even better if staal gets back into the lineup.

It's a great read.

For extra entertainment, read the readers' comments. "Why does America glorify such uncivilized masculine aggression," etc. Completely missing the point (and the poignancy) of the whole series.

A wise old man said that you can't fix stupid. :D

Anyways, Barnaby gets himself fired. ESPN's hockey department is ONE person. Doubt they make a hire any time soon..

SJ really took it to them that the first minute. Hope they recover and don't expect Hackett to save the day like Harding and Backstrom have done so often.

It seems as though they are going to try and ride the untested netminder. Great.

The Wild making some nice passes angled off the boards.

[And a goal! 1-1)
