Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

So there is a chance Reilly might play for the Stars tonight, still rockin' the #18 jersey apparently.

I heard he had to get his Work Visa first, and that the earliest he could get it is Thursday

Definite possibility, he and Barber seem to find the net quite often.

Get Kuraly and Coleman back together, along with (Alex) Wideman, and it's going to get interesting.
Kuraly and Coleman set scoring records with the Indiana Ice in the USHL in 2010-11, and Wideman was part of that roster too...

By Paulazzo's twitter it sounds like Wideman is on his way to Binghamton, not finding any news about him signing yet though.

According to Tomassoni's twitter it seems that Schilling has also signed a contract as well. No details mentioned and I cannot find any information on the interwebs.

Source on twitter also says Wideman will make his pro debut for B-Sens tomorrow as they host the Hershey Bears. He is expected to play all 8 games remaining in the season.

Per Bob McKenzie it's Washington

08' wins the Miami free agent lottery.

Cannone just tweeted a picture of Wideman signing...and Little Wide just congradulated him so it's official!

The people who he was banging on the glass to were cheering for Miami. Btw Onion Man, who are the Brown Bears?

The Brown Bears are a team that has been to the Frozen Four the same exact number of times as Miami of Ohio has.

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

I still don't know who the Brown Bears are.... It was a serious question not an insult.

I am a Dallas Stars fan and have never posted on USCHO before but I thought you might like to know the news out of Dallas is Reilly Smith's work visa is all taken care of. It's up to coach Glen Gulutzen if he plays tomorrow against Edmonton. That decision I imagine will be made at the morning skate tomorrow.

There's been no real discussion of PP time, but it sounds like he'll start on the 4th line which isn't so bad considering he'll at least be with captain Brenden Morrow. Throughout the game, Gully said he'll slide up to Jamie Benn's line just so they can get a feel for him in the Top 6. With how bad Dallas' PP is right now (27th in the league) I can't imagine them not giving him time, but for whatever reason the reporters just haven't brought up PP time yet with Gully. As long as he adjusts quickly to the NHL, his linemates for the remainder of the season will likely be Jamie Benn and Steve Ott.
