It is a great song for the Mavs. It got the entire arena to come together as 1 fan base instead of students and non students. It also drives every other person not a fan of the mavericks nuts. It has done its job nicely.

Everything that CCFC said is true, but it is still dumb isn't it? It got the fans together because 95% of the students don't know the effing school song, so they would pick their noses when it would play after a goal instead of cheer.

I'm looking in your direction, bigclean. :)

MavsFan: I don't think there is a 'Kato-Duluth thread. You guys just don't have anything in common, I guess.

The fight song is just some cheap rip off the gay spelling bee that is the M-I-N-N-E-S-O-T-A cheer. Don't want to hear that ever. If you don't like it, then it has done it's job.

Hey State, weren't you apart of the worst thing at any MSU hockey game? The Pep Band?

I was part of the pep band, but not the worst thing about an MSU hockey game. That definitely goes to the glaring lack of any tradition whatsoever, as well as the combined IQ of much of the student section.

I wasn't bothered by not getting to play song, which was written before the UM Rouser, after a goal. It was just another obvious gimmick that all the dolts bought into and liked for some reason.

Never said I could.

I don't have any delusions of grandeur either, the band overall wasn't one you could call "talented." Opinions vary, I personally would rather have a crappy band than piped in music. To each his own.

I am done hi-jacking this thread with useless stuff for now. Go beat the socks off of UMD. Burn every lower-case "t" along the way. :)

Hey Mavs fans,

Got to watch the game in Duluth tonight and gotta say, you guys have some speedy players but are lacking chemistry. Is Lee the top goalie??? he seemed to be off from the first drop of the puck. tUMD played tough all night and MSU couldnt get it going. should be a good game tomorrow night. Nice to see a MSU team come into tDECC and play a good clean game. good luck tomorrow night.

Agreed

We will see what happens tomorrow. Murdock most likely will be in goal, and I believe he is the goalie.

I think we can get a split out of this weekend, and then we'll see what happens in our barn (lets call it the BUG, Verizon Wireless Center) against Wisconsin

It's easier to track former Mavs at hockeydb.com using their name search function. Berge has three goals in 8 games for the Stingrays.

Well, he did see a lot of rubber; 48 shots. But no, no one has been designated #1. I'm certain we'll see Murdock on Saturday night, and my untrained opinion is that Murdock is quicker and more agile than Lee.

I imagine we'll throw Austin Lee in there on Friday nights and Murdock on Saturday nights for a handful of weeks if they can't distinguish a #1.

I was at the game last night and tUMD came out and played an insprired game...kinda like NMU did last Sunday against tUMD after NMU lost to Tech.

Mankato looked flat all night..I expect a much closer game tonight. Rocky, uh, I mean Troy will get after the purple steer. Gotta talk to tDECC maintenance about cleaning up that pile of butts outside the Kato locker room.

Jack Connolly and Fontaine look awesome, and having Mike Connolly back and playing the point on the PP shored up that unit. After an 0-8 PP against NMU sans MConn, they went 2 for 6 last night. And MConn potted a shorty to get tUMD rolling.

Props to tUMD student section for the Ole, Ole, Ole chant after a tUMD goal:cool:
