I've heard that breezers are known as "pants" everywhere but in Minnesota. Is this true?
No, "breezers" are known as "shells" most everywhere else.
This is the kind of thing I'm wondering about. "Sick" isn't any more a hockey term than "great" is. It's an adjective in general usage that can be applied to the word "pass" much like it can be applied to any other noun that can be categorized by quality. If the dictionary is going to be this broad, you might as well just include the whole OED.

Hoser
Isn't that a common Canadian term, not specific to a hockey player?
Likely bothFrom Urban Dictionary - 2nd definition listed
2.hoser
Hoser: Canadian hockey derogatory term that is similar to the American "idiot" or "loser". It is derived from the pre-zamboni days, where the LOSING team would have to hose down the ice after the game.
Snack on that for lunch, you frickin hoser!
Likely both
OK, we'll go with it! Way back when I used to watch Bob and Doug McKenzie from the Great White North refer to others as being a 'hoser', and they were just drinking beer! As I recall the first time I heard the term used was on their funny little skit!
