I've got to say, I'm a little disappointed... Being far left or far right doesn't mean someone is going to butcher millions of people. That's a result of being a dictator not a communist.

That's why I also added the Authoritarian label.

Considering I'm not for ending private ownership and putting the government in charge of every facet of life, I'd say I'm not to the left of Stalin. Does Cafferty say he wants these things?

I would argue that Lawrence doesn't fully understand the term. I'm not sure that he's in favor of those things.

Somewhere along the way, terms lost their meaning. Just because I'm liberal and favor higher taxes does not make me a Socialist, or a Communist. It also doesn't make Obama a Socialist. Just like his anti-gay bigotry doesn't make Rick Santorum a Nazi.

"Did revenue collected by the income tax increase?" for $1,200! How about that, one of our most beloved liberal Presidents views a major cut in the Federal income tax rate as a signature economic achievement, and tax revenues went up as tax rates went down.

If JFK were to run for President today, he would most definitely NOT be a liberal. Libertarian, if anything. He'd probably have the best luck under the Republican ticket today.

Read what I wrote on there about shared sacrifice. When I think of "taxes going up across the board" that means redrawing the tax table so the guy making minimum wage pays 15%. I don't call raising the retirement age a "tax" but whatever.
