You seem to be foretelling our doom. We're far more likely to have clogged arteries than most anyone who we'd meet on the battlefield. If we're talking ICBMs, how about one made out of that deep-fried butter that's sold now at some state fairs and similar venues?

He hasn't been stonewalling for the past two years? Please, don't insult our intelligence. He caved in today because of the politics. The dispute for months has been over the so-called "long form" document issued by the hospital. That's what he released today. And whether or not the document is relevant to the question of establishing citizenship (it isn't) is beside the point. The political heat got to the president on this one and he decided to cut his losses and release the document. And that represents a total fold. Spin it anyway you like, he lost this one, period.

So for all the teabaggers on this board: now that the birth certificate issue is settled, how will all of you cleverly disguise your racist comments you continually throw at the President?

He totally caved. A video of him crowning while a luau is going on in the background with Don Ho singing "Welcome to Hawaii Little Barack" wouldn't satisfy 50% of the country, so why did he think this would?

The long form isn't the legal document. The one he produced in 2008 is used in Hawaii to get a passport, drivers license, etc. The one today is BS. There was no dispute, just a made up conspiracy by a bunch of loons.

Only if you'll stop throwing the word racist around everytime somebody disagrees with "The One." In an earlier time it was quite fashionable to throw the word "commie" around. It was the arguement stopper du jour. Now the argument stopper is to call your opponant "racist." It's a substitute for thought. But not a very pretty one.

You've got a firm grasp of the obvious. I believe if you reread my posts you'll see I made the same points, only more elegantly. What you object to is my analysis that this matter was hurting him politically. What reason could there be for him releasing this document now, after two years? Possibly because the "conspiracy by a bunch of loons" was gaining some traction? Why do you think he caved today?

I think those polls are misleading. Some folks certainly thought he wasn't born here. And some of them doubtless wake up every morning in a cold sweat because there's "a n*****'s in the White House." But I don't think that totally explains it. I think it's a bit more subtle than that. A protest, if you will, buyer's remorse that we essentially bought a pig in a poke and elected a guy with the thinnest resume in history. I can't explain it. I'm just not convinced that all or even most of those responders had given the matter much thought. Sort of like the "majority" of Americans who think there was a conspiracy to kill JFK. How many of them have actually studied the matter to any extent (beyond watching Oliver Stone's movie)?

Wasn't too high quality, I heard some lady was born the day before at the same hospital yet the number in the upper right corner was 4 higher than Obamas. CBS news said(Bob Schafer) whoever questions Obamas school transcripts is a racist, the entertainment value of Obama never ends

This is a good beginning. Now let's talk about a full body scan. It would answer the nagging questions about circumcison and whether there are any secret tattoos. You know, like SS blood type tats in the arm pit.

its likely that all our troops would be going into battle riding hover rounds (or whatever those scooters are called) with a submachine gun mounted to the front....that would actually be pretty cool.

I once told the Archbishop of the Diocese of Galveston-Houston that it was my favorite Vatican document. From a strictly historic point of view. We had a good laugh.
