Obama XII: The shine is off the glass slipper

Re: Obama XII: The shine is off the glass slipper

Nobody says that. The question has always been: with a limited amount of time, where are you going to go for information:

The problem was that the way you stated it was...look at this analysis, lets throw the bums out. Whether or not you meant it, you appeared to be making the overarching conclusion based off of a single source on an obviously conservative site...outside 25% of folks on the right, your not going to sell anyone that way.

I just typed the world's longest response, and it disappeared :( I'll summarize: This is not an "overarching conclusion based on one source", but the latest piece of evidence.
also: consider: I could find no other source reporting on this data, which comes from the U.S. Census Bureau, other than the one linked by hotair. (Maybe it's a good thing someone's digging up the dirt?)
also: We all understand going in that hotair cherrypicks stories that reflect the wisdom of conservatism and the follies of liberalism. But the links are split about evenly between the sides, along with some funny human interest stuff. It's actually a fun site, if you have a sense of humor.
also: I think I threw in a mini-rant about how the Republican politicians are indeed being led about by the oft-lamented "Echo chamber", rather than being serious about formulating policy, and it's another good reason to throw the bums out and start fresh.
I forget the rest.

There is a magic combination of keystrokes that blows away the window. It's happened to me a couple of times, too. Very frustrating. :(

Then again, didn't Fitzgerald lose the entire first draft of Gatsby on a train? That worked out okay.

This was comparable. I included a full rhetorical analysis of an old Newsweek piece on the car stimulus.

Good luck designing buildings with an alternate physics. :p

I'll keep that in mind, you must be in some alternate reality:D if you think the laws of physics and opinions on politics are comparable

Re: Obama XII: The shine is off the glass slipper

There are timing issues in that article to take seriously, though I wish he could have avoided the usual loaded terms. The expiration of temporary tax cuts that had a stated sunset clause is NOT a "tax hike." There's nothing Draconian about what are relatively small movements, and there's nothing radical about returning to the tax structure we had during the Clinton economy, about which Laffer is conspicuously silent.

I don't buy the silly "Hillary for Veep" meme at all. Classic Rovian concern trolling. Why not suggest Palin run with Newt while we're at it. ;)

Re: Obama XII: The shine is off the glass slipper

hmmm. that is interesting. it might forestall a challenge from her for 2012.

What challenge? Do you think she is going to take a run at a sitting Dem president? Better yet, the sitting president she couldnt beat out for the nomination? She has one more shot at the presidency and it isnt in 2012.

I am sure Fox News knows that too, they just dont care...no better way to freak out the base than to mention a Clinton! :D

Challenge?

What conservative think tank website drug addict neophyte blogger is floating that idea? Hillary is not running for anything in 2012.

Even the National Enquirer thinks that's an absurd story.

The biggest problem with that claim is that HRC has no reason to do it. None. Assuming she *does* want to run in 2012, she's better off padding her resume at State. She isn't Dan Quayle. She doesn't need to be Veep for name recognition. So it's a no-brainer for her to stay put for now.

What if Obamas numbers keep tanking? I wouldn't put anything past a Clinton, would you?

What tanking are you talking about? Obama's approval ratings have stayed pretty level since December.

RCP Average

He's been at 48/46 for months.

Re: Obama XII: The shine is off the glass slipper

Speaking of 2012

Silly new poll out.

2012 President
46% Obama, 44% Huckabee
40% Obama, 41% Palin
47% Obama, 39% Gingrich
46% Obama, 36% Paul
45% Obama, 42% Romney

With all the long way off caveats and all that; yikes, not a strong showing by the GOP.
Also, when you look at the favorables, it's 36/53 against Palin, yet she does the "best" against Obama.

Edit: Typo I guess. Obama- Palin is supposed to be 50-41. Makes more sense now.

44 today.

the VP's job is basically to make the Pres look smart. Joe Biden's doing a real good job at that. no reason to change horses in midstream.

Hillary would get the Democratic nomination only if Obama's numbers seriously tanked. or if he chose not to run again.
