Are we still getting some evangelical hysteria when it comes to the Bush family?!?! Are they going to get you in your bed or something... with their... um... stuff? Are they going to do the... you know... things?

I can see Kepler just thumbing through a well-worn Bible, making vaguely rat-like noises as he does so, before finding what he's looking for and making a noise that's half a gasp, half a shout before saying to no one in particular, "SEE! SEE! THEY ALL BELIEVE THIS! THEY ALL BELIEVE THIS!"

Bush is old news. The new evengelical bete noire is Bob McDonnell. Good God, that man is an embarrassment. At least to my state.

no. feminism is about women having choices. it isn't right or left or Democratic or Republican. but many liberal are condescendingly "feminist".

just like many liberal condescend to people of color by thinking they can't make it without help from whitey in the form of welfare, affirmative action, etc.

I remember back in high school there was a girl who I called a feminist because she stood up for the woman's perspective... but since she saw herself as fairly conservative she said "no I'm not"... but then you forget the difference between feminism and militant feminism... at the core dictionary definition feminism is about asserting the rights of women as equals in society. The "feminists" get lost when they either try to make equality absolute or they try to shirk other matters in life. Trying to square the circle and stuff like that. This is where it all gets muddled and a movement loses people and the movement loses sympathy.

Look... you just have to read the posts about Michelle Malkin and then you see the woman hate in the liberal soul... or rather that they'll use any tool they can when you stand against them. Palin is falling into that category as well and I could get into some of the more coarser terms used. Is this the equality we all talked about? Or is it equality when we're on the same team?

As I said before...who was it exactly who was supporting the ERA...I will give you a clue it wasnt the conservatives or the GOP. Wait...you do know what the ERA is right? ;)

Who supported Civil Rights? I will give you a clue, it wasnt the conservatives. :D

I seriously hope you are only pretending...even Glenn Beck isnt that dumb :p

Next you will tell us the liberals are anti-gay too! :p And Anti-Big Government! and Anti-liberal!! :D

who passed the Jim Crow laws? another clue. Democrats.
who created the welfare plantation that screwed over two generations of blacks? clue. Democrats.

Southern Democrats. Conservative Democrats.

Honestly, you need a history lesson on this, and I'm not trying to be mean. The Dems were a coalition of Northern eggheads and Southern conservatives through the early 60's. This is basic American history. :eek:

Democrat didn't automatically mean liberal until the VRA of 1964 split the Southern Conservatives off from the liberals. Again, basic -- literally, high school level -- history.

I agree, it seems to be disputed. Wouldn't surprise me either way though.
