Given our history.... McShane leaves the cheering to me and I leave all the coaching decisions to him. And that includes maybe using a mid-season transfers or sitting down a few overly enthusiastic veterans for a game--as he did for the UNE game following that officiating mess at the St. Michael's game. I am sure that any player who is not playing up to snuff will in true Norwich fashion find McShane employing many of the same "remedial techniques" that my very own corporal :) found so useful in shoring up my own short comings and deficiencies. ;)

As for Ice Queen's critique. I am not sure we have arrived at a point where we need to demand Senate confirmation on who is a true Norwich fan. Start that and the next thing you know--folks will be asking for your birth certificate or whether you were born in a foreign country like....Hawaii. But it is wise to be careful what you say because one thing I believe most folks like about Cadet fan chatter on these forums is when a game... or even season doesn't break the way we might want--no one ever demands Mike's head as the fans on other team's forums to frequently do of successful coaches.

Now on a more pressing and serious note. Any word on Forkey' injury?

Sat next to his Dad at the UNE game and learned that besides being a superb player, Blake is a gifted scholar who year after year has posted one of the highest GPA's in school with plans on medical school next year. Great player and I would hate to see him miss any of the fun now. :(

Hope the fans aren't getting too complacent ... USM is the best 8th seed to come into Kreitzberg in all of the years the Cadets have been the top seed ... this will be a TOUGH game!
So okay fans ... who is NOT coming ... and why?

Oh ... McShane told us this morning on his regular interview on The Really Big Sports Show on NSN radio that Blake Forkey skated very well in practice on Wednesday and if that continues he should play on Saturday night.

I'm not coming. :(. Hopefully my seats will be occupied. I think my location is a good enough excuse. I will say that I only missed one 1 vs 8 playoff game at kreitzberg before this year, and that was the one that went bad! If you are in the vicinity, you should go

Great news about Blake, great kid, great player, but having a heck of a time with injuries. Hope he gets to enjoy the rest of the season on the ice in skates instead of using ice to deal with injuries.

I agree with you, this game is not a cake walk, nor will any of them be that from here on in. The Cadets will need to play their "A" game for the rest of the season and I am sure Coach McShane is working with them on that. Good luck Cadets, I will be cheering you on from the stands and that should include the Olympic Arena in Lake Placid. :)

Your seats will most definitely be occupied, and we will take FULL responsibility for the results, thereby absolving you of any blame (said blame being highly unlikely, given that "someone" has a new white "Wick towel" to wave). ;)

I, too, will be watching via NSN, and I hope that my two seats behind the bench are occupied. The BLC shouldn't have any trouble filling them.

I'll be sitting with the "Hound" and Nancy or maybe behind the goal with Gail and Pat. Oh, wait a minute, I am in Colorado also. Guess I will watch on NSN with Prof and Peach. Good luck to the Cadets!

Our seats were just past Gail and Pat - all the way to the Zamboni entrance. Many's the time I went past them on my way to the concession stand and or rest rooms. Of course, when Roger LeClair sat there, he'd always ask for one of my pieces of pizza :D

I see the NESCAC time shifted their games to 1 PM on Saturday and some of the women's games are moving early, too. Any word on ECAC-E games getting time shifted due to weather??

Am I missing something? The preview of the SM game indicates that the game is tonite....I thought it was Saturday..

TONIGHT'S STORYLINE: refers to the night it's going to be played which was the format for the game notes.

But, noted and it has been fixed to avoid confusion.

Yes, in fact that was where I first met you, at the NSB tournament in 2012. Good seats, no wonder you always had a very confident opinion of whether goals were good or not on that end of the ice.

That's right I remember that. Dang I loved that view. I always liked it in part because in my youth I was a soccer goalie, and really love to watch the way the goalies play.
