That has always been an issue for me. He seems to only shake hands if he has to because the other teams coaches are already in line. The Cadets have taken quite a fall. If it wasn't for past history of doing so well they would not even be in the rankings this year. Good thing for us all that it is not like the NFL or McShane would be bye bye. It now seems like every team they play, the other team knows for sure they can beat them and have a great chance to win. Where are the Schrader twins and Tory Allen when you need them?

Does anyone know the tie breaker factor between UMASS Boston and Babson. Depending on the results this weekend Norwich could help determine the top team in the NEHC. The points between teams 3 and 5 are also close enough to makes these games count of all concerned. I still wish someone could give a little light on Norwich's lack of scoring this year.

Possible to give us a little more substance to your rebuttal? Anyway, despite your well thought out explanation, I still conservatively see a 3-5 year program decline, which will force some very uncomfortable decisions at NU.

I'd prefer to focus on what, exactly, makes you think this program is in this great decline. If not for an unlucky carom last year, they're once again in the Final Four. A lot of people lamenting this great drop-off in recruiting, yet we all agree that Pelletier is a top-notch talent. Ostepchuck pretty darn good too. I'm completely mystified as to why it seems so hard for people to understand that a team will struggle to score when they lose two of their very best players for an ENTIRE SEMESTER.

Norwich has been completely healthy for ONE week this entire season. They proceeded to blow Wesleyan out of the water, lose in OT to the national champs, and manhandle the #2 team in the country. That's what this team is capable of when healthy. Why is that so hard for everyone to get?

Norwich is the 3rd place team in a very competitive league. The two teams ahead of them are, by all accounts, very good. To read this board, you'd think they were 8th. It is comical.

One of the best and most consistent hockey programs in the country suffers a ridiculous amount of injuries to key players, struggles as a result, and suddenly they are in decline? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!

Finally, time will tell whether my "rebuttal" holds water or not.

Lets all hope your right, because NU just seems to be off. I think it is going to take more than Will to bring this thing around. Oh make no mistake I think they win one of the big games this weekend , but just one. Both would be nice, but history of this team says other wise. I think goal tending was better at the beginning of the season than it is now. That seems to be part of NU history as well. Who is the goalie coach any how? Any way you cut it your only as good as your record, sorry but that is the bottom line in sports. It's a fact , Jack. And the record for this year is well, how should we say, poopy.

You know it's bad when the players are afraid of Babson AND UMB. Both Babson & UMass are battling it this weekend to win the league, but we all know there has never been an easy game at Kreitzberg. Predictions on the weekend?

The goalie coach is Cap Raeder ... one of the best in the business!
