Re: Norwich 14-15
Tough Loss to Amhearst in OT tonight but another top ten game for Norwich and NCAA Div III Teams. It was a hard fought game, and a lot of fun to watch. The caliber of hockey being played in this division is improveing every year as indicated by the quality of play and close games. I still think Norwich could have gone to the semifinals, but that is not the way the puck bounced this year. With McShane coaching (please do not retire yet!) and the solid core of returning players, next season will be as equally entertaining and competitive. What a great recruiting year it has been and I am looking forward to next season even though I will be here in Florida and not in Krietzberg. Guys you have everything to be proud of and I think I speak for all of us fans, when I say thank you for the entertainment, excitement and excellant hockey that you gave us through a very long winter. You all are amazing players, scholars, leaders and gentlemen.
To all the seniors, we will sorely miss you, and I thank you for the hard work and dedication you gave to play hockey on one of the best teams in Div.III hockey. Good luck with your future endeavers and remember that you will always be a Cadet! Be Proud on all your accomplishments and work as hard on your future as you did on the past.
Finally, to George Commo- You thanked all of the fans tonight that listened to you call games on the radio/NSN video and suported the team from afar. That was very nice of you, however it is we who should thank you. You and Cory did another great job this year and we hope that you will continue for many more years to come. Since I moved to Florida, I have come to appreciate your broadcast of the games. I find it amazing that you know the names of the opposing players so well and the fact that you can keep track and report all the action that takes place. I listen to you instead of the video announcer of away games, because I know you will tell it the best and be impartial as well. When all I can get is your radio broadcast, I can picture what the players are doing on the ice. You are a great talent and assest to Norwich and all of Vermont! Cory, your inside knowledge of hockey in general, and your background of being on the bench guiding the players, is a great asset as well. I enjoy listening to your color commentary and personnally think you and George work well together. It has been such a pleasure listening to the both of you and I thank WDEV for doing the games even if you have to travel to Lake Placid, and other cities in the West. Your broadcast helps me to not miss Vermont as much. Yes I miss Vermont but not the cold and ice! Thank you both for keeping Norwich Hockey alive for me in a state that has very few college teams (if any).
Finally to the posters on this site, I enjoy reading and responding to your posts. May you all be happy and healthy until the season starts again next October. Hope spring will come soon to all of you in the cold north! Stay warm and good night Cadet fans.
