Norwich 14-15

No problemo....Flint would still be proud that you understand and appreciate the NU values and culture so well.

As for those who think NU fans are worried just too much about Plymouth--let me add that one of the benefits of an NU military education (that some of us learned the hard way) is that…"if your attack is going well then chances are you just walked into an ambush"….and of course my favorite—-"Murphy was an optimist."

Honestly? I believe many of us are still pinching ourselves after discovering that this NU Club is far better than any of us imagined back in the fall as the season got started. What's more we also know from experience with this (or any club).... to never look beyond the next period of play—much less the end of the game…or God forbid next week. Go Cadets.

Isn't there one - "Victory through superior firepower"?

Close but actually, I think you are referring of one of Sun Tzu principles: e.g. Mass ( defined as the concentration of power at the decisive place and time) or as Confederate General Bedford Forrest once explained: "get there firstest with the mostest". Either way..and so long as properly applied.... should do the job with Plymouth State. ;) Go Cadets. :)

Re: Norwich 14-15

Delighted that NU put away Plymouth but the video kept crapping out and before I could switch to WDEV--PSU scored its second goal...and then the next thing I heard was NU was up 3 to 1. What happen to that goal that PSU scored?

And for anyone who thought it this game was to be a cake walk--well it wasn't. PSU gave NU a tough game--seemed a bit chippy from what I was able to see--and that last penalty clearly gave away an opportunity to tie it up. Again, what happen to PSU's goal that was disavowed? Thanks.

Really not a surprise - the banter was a bit over the top. The Cadets did what they needed to do. I was watching two games simultaneously. Great game by the women knocking off Midd. Some excellent goal tending at the end of that game. I hope I have to do the same thing next Sat as I did today.

Congrats to PSC (or is it U by now) on a good effort. That is an up and coming program.

Re: Norwich 14-15

The result was positive, but the path to that result was one of the Cadets least organized efforts of the season IMHO. Plymouth was a much different team than the one we played at the beginning of the season. Seemed to play much of the game with their sticks up. Far too much Cadet stick-handling in our own zone. We were fortunate. All of that being said we are on to Amherst, and wish the team the best.

Glad for the win, but one of the chippiest (is that a word?) games I have seen at Kreitzberg in quite a while....

Re: Norwich 14-15

I wasn't able to watch the game last night, and didn't think I'd be missing much, but, win and advance. I think Plymouth knew that it had to be a chippy game if they wanted to stand a chance. I can't fault them for that. If you're playing a faster, stronger, and better team then hit them in the mouth and see if you can disrupt their focus.

Re: Norwich 14-15

I'm planning on going to the Amherst game next weekend. Do you think it is necessary to buy tickets in advance or can I just buy tickets at the door? If the former, any idea on how to go about buying tickets in advance?

Re: Norwich 14-15

Why do we seem content to win by 1 or 2 goals? It's hard on this old fart's heart to watch these. Give me a 7-1 game any day.:D

Its just that time of year with everyone playing up to their potential. Since NU's loss to UMB the last day of the season all of NU's playoff games have been just a tad too close. Even our Southern Maine 4-0 victory didn't get rolling until 7 plus minutes into the third period with our first score. And in the three games NU have won since then---all have been won by a single goal--and in two of them we spotted our opponent the lead before taking over--and even still the Babson game went to OT. Agree with The Peach--how about a nice shut out--supported by three or four 1st period NU goals? Short of that--I will just settle for getting by Amherst with a 1 goal victory.:)

Another thought: Last night someone remarked or wrote that a NU player may have been seriously injured blocking a shot in the closing moments. Anything further to report?

+1 looking for the same answer. Will Norwich have any tickets for sale?
