Norwich 14-15

On the flip-side, both UNE and Southern Maine will be hungry for points as well as bragging rights, so I don't suspect either will roll over in their own barn. Looking forward to another weekend of Wick hockey!

Greetings from Maine to all of you visiting from "the lower 47." The quote above is spot on. UNE once again is much tougher than their record reveals...and I keep waiting for their breakout season. They have put serious dough and thought into their program. I do not expect them to roll over Friday.

USM is another story. My guess is there is loads of anger on the club as it relates to the mid-season dumping of Beaney...which they may very well try to take out on NU or anyone in the ECAC-E for the balance of the season. Dangerous weekend if the Cadets ease up on the pedal. Enjoy Maine...buy a Lobster and some blue berry jam to take home.

Go NU...sweep the weekend! And pray for a two game split between Babson And UMB

Does anyone have any intel on the video broadcast tonight? I'm not familiar with UNE's media capability, but it looks like they are going to run a video stream. I guess I'll have to wait until 6:50 to make the proverbial choice: Video stream, WDEV or the always elusive audio/video sync!

I've flipped to a few UNE games this season and they have had a pretty strong video quality in my experience.

Re: Norwich 14-15

Last night at the UNE game--it was announced that due to the anticipated snow storm that today's... game with St. Mikes had been moved from a 4PM start to a 2PM face off. Does anyone know if that is the same situation with regards to the Norwich/USM game?

Last night's game was anything but dull but the Cadets just plain out skated and out played UNE. There were at least two penalties that the refs had to have been blind to have missed. I mean really missed by a mile. Six different Cadets scored---demonstrating once again that the scoring threat is spread all over and our power play converted 2 of 3 opportunities. Reichehnbach once again proved himself and did a great job turning away 24 of 25 SOG. Nice crowd---but not to many NU fans. Nice to see Puck Voice.

And finally, I still believe this UNE team is underrated. Good luck Cadets at USM....

Re: Norwich 14-15

USM stayed with the Cadets through most of the game--with Shapiro in goal defending against all comers. You can only keep that up for so long. He turned away 20 shots in just the 2nd period. Good game for USM...great point weekend for the Cadets as they continue to spread the scoring far and wide. :)

Re: Norwich 14-15

What is the Class of 2015's home record?

Norwich: 52-5-3 (60 Home Games)
Plattsburgh: 43-8-3 (54 Home Games)
St Norbert: 48-10-4 (62 Home Games)
Adrain: 41-9-5 (55 Home Games)
Utica: 40-15-4 (59 Home Games)
Oswego: 46-9-3 (58 Home Games)

Re: Norwich 14-15

This is nothing short of a staggering record.

We're certainly getting down to crunch time in the season when each win truly counts toward divisional pairings, etc. With a couple of teams who always play NU tight, it's imperative that NU keeps mixing up the scoresheet. It has got to be extremely difficult to prepare a defensive strategy against a team that mixes the scoring around all 4 lines like the cadets do. NEC and St. A's tend to 'play-up' to Wick when they meet, so I'm very glad that we are home this weekend.

60 Home games is a staggering record - even more than UTICA!!!!

Note that St Norbert played more post season home games - hence their higher total.

What about their road records in that span of time?

AKA I'm too lazy to look it up but am curious....

Re: Norwich 14-15

Norwich: 2-3-0 (none played in 2011-12)
Plattsburgh: 6-4-3
Oswego: 10-3-1
Utica: 4-2-2
St Norbert: 6-2-4
Adrian: 10-2-2

Though considered "neutral site", I'd include the Primelinks hosted by Midd or PSU in the road NC games for NU. In which case they'd be 5-3-2 over the past 4 seasons.

Re: Norwich 14-15

Happy for a couple of things today:
1. It's Friday
2. Only 3-5 inches of snowfall projected by tomorrow in southern New Hampshire.
3. Wick is at home, meaning a high quality video stream and synced game call by PuckVoice.

You'll also be hearing the return of Cadet Color Man to the broadcasts for this weekend for the men's games!
