Re: Northeastern Huskies 2011-2012 Season Thread: Year of the Mad Dog
Ah while I agree this charge and the allegations at BU are very serious and have no place in any society. I am fairly certain that the charges against AB were eventually dropped for lack of evidence. From the grapevine I was told that several witnesses had different accounts of the events, and at most a lesser misdemeanor charge may have been applied or dropped all together. HUSKY Five 0 kept this out of the sports pages as the investigation was on going. You all know how the consumption levels at a Symphony Rd party can lead to bad behavior, enough said. As AB would only have been 20 at the time, I assume the lesser charge may surround alcohol use. If anything else had transpired he would have been kicked out of school. On a better note congratulations to our Lady Huskies Hockey Team for winning the regular season WHEA championship for the 1st time in school history.
Unfortunately, more popularity for college hockey means a bigger "Big Man on Campus" entitlement for certain players. It's disgusting. We're not immune from it either on Huntington...this didn't get much publicity last year but its horrible: http://www.ontheforecheck.com/2010/10/5/1733181/anthony-bitetto-arrested
