Hewkin has been real good post Beanpot, better than his D partner in my opinion. Bitetto-Eibler have really been the backbone of our D in 2011. If they and Oleksiak keep getting better and stick around, we will be in good shape in the future.

That's a big if. When's the last time our freshmen superstars came back the following year or two and performed? Still, I've got my fingers crossed for this batch. Something special feels like it's in the works. Depending on what kind of sanctions we end up with from the NCAA, this could be more vital than ever going forward these next couple years...

Those wins are bothe over 20 years ago. We have to go back that far to find some sucess in the post season. I am hoping that this victory propells this program to expect to win, ratrher than just be happy to be there.

McLaughlin apparently may play Sunday. He was walking fine but had a high ankle sprain according to a source that works for the team.

Ummm im guessing you mean Friday or Saturday unless NU has some game scheduled that no one knows about or im missing something here

He doesn't know how to move on and let this season go. What are fanboys supposed to do with a season ending this early? Look forward to a slaughter by Kansas, that's just depressing.

i think it's the experience factor that has made hewkin do a turn-around after the beanpot. he's seen the team buckle under pressure before and i feel like he doesn't want that to happen again. hopefully he keeps it up.

It was hilarious on Sunday when some fanboy started yelling at me about "Where is Northeastern?" in regards to the NCAA tournament. I just told him "WE beat you, that's how bad YOU are"

Considering selling my tickets after seeing the refs for Friday's game : Fyrer and Gravallese. Hockey East really wants BC in the final.

i dont mean to hijack your thread, but i thought this might be the best place to ask this question for some educated responses.

chris student transferred to the U of M.. and with Aaron Ness leaving- I am wondering what gopher fans can expect from student? he looks undersized. does he play big? any glaring strengths/weaknesses?

re. chris student, he played like 20 odd gms for us in '09-10.. had a couple assists & was pretty disciplined (penalty wise) through that stretch. i do not remember much of him..perhaps someone else also chimes in. g'luck
