Pleased with the split, especially with the PP production and the play of Rawlings tonight, sounds like he played a great game and the d failed him a few times. a little worried with the fact that we put our foot off the gas towards the end, but a win is a win, overall im happy, gotta love the production from the freshmen, especially vrolyk and veermersch.
Congrats
Two pretty evenly matched teams with very similar style of play
Hope we play in Boston next year
Home from the game, must say Rawlings was much better in net tonight. NU really took it to the Tigers in the first. NU deserved to win the game Saturday, they outplayed CC.
Very good weekend of hockey and it sure was a pleasure chatting with the Huskie fans here on the board this week. My best wishes to you and your fine team this season.
Cheers,
I'm really hoping CC plays out here next year. I can't guarantee a room in my apartment (the law student needs her space!), but I can guarantee you'll have a great time at Matthews Arena, and we'll be drinking many beers while you guys are here! The NU fans are great, and the Doghouse could certainly teach the CC students a thing or two.Road trip for sure!! Hey JS Tigers, get your pad ready, we would like to crash at your joint.
Is it for sure CC is making the trip to Boston next year? That would be great to see. I like seeing the big western powers when they come out east.
It has been extremely rare that a Western team will play two straight at NU. What's happened in the past is that there's usually an agreement with BC. The year after we head out there twice, there'll be two back-to-back years where they come to Boston to play one game at BC, one game at NU. After that, BC will head out to that school for two. I know Denver and Wisconsin have done that in the past.
Very well could be, after reading some additional comments by CC officials today I have the feeling that CC will not play two or even one at NU next season. I should see Coach Owen's Tuesday and I'll try to ask him the question.
