Huskies are looking very good so far,

it's tied at 1-1, and the goal against us was a fairly good one, though Rawlings did look pretty slow in his attempt...

Other than that, NU has been dominating, lots of great chances...

Awesome!.. would be nice to get the 'W' tonight..

(wish i could be watching this tonight..). Is Rawlings in goal?).. would be nice to get the 2 points plus the confidence boost for Chris assuming he is in net. C'mon NU

What I'm seeing so far -

Cronin's been working on the PP!
Great restraint on NU's end... once again many more penalties against CC

Another PP for NU... (never been as excited to say that than this season)

I'm surprised in CC's decision to swap goaltenders...
on the other hand i've been saying I want to see what Mountain has to offer on our end...

Bogus penalty called against the Huskies... but it's probably true that CC had their share of tough calls last night so I'm not overly upset.

I'm a fan of sticking with Rawlings.

I couldn't have asked for a better period (save one relatively soft goal). Our PP looks deadly, our freshmen defensemen are playing well and we're sustaining pressure of CC.

Keep it up boys.

We definitely seem to have a little more restraint than we have had in recent years. I think we will see a lot more PP opportunities this season. The CC coach was actually saying that most of the penalties were do to the speed of our forwards and not iffy calls.

Does anybody know the status of Steve Quailer? I saw him get hurt last week against St. Thomas and it looked like a serious knee injury. Any news on him? He's an impressive player and will be greatly missed if out any length of time.

Rawlings is starting too look great... Much more confident this game. I think that confidence is bleeding out to the rest of the team too...

Good goal for CC... though we SHOULD HAVE SCORED in one of those three shorthanded chances

And as I'm typing this - GOAL FOR NORTHEASTERN!

I know CC just scored but hearing the guys on WRBB say "What a save by Rawlings going all the way across the net" makes me pretty happy about how he must look tonight compared to last night. It doesn't help that we are going to give up 35 or more shots tonight

So its 4-3 NU right now but we have one official shot this period and the third is half way over, the shot disparity is really hurting us right now. It sure seems like we are sitting back right now. Also, how many of these defensive zone faceoffs are we going to lose?

I agree with you there- great to hear that... It was a pretty tough one to get too, can't blame him too much...

I think I spoke too soon about our "restraint" as far as the penalties go... 7 penalties...

Another good save by Rawlings.

Id rather take the penalties and have a good Rawlings in net than play five on five with a sieve in net. That being said, a lot of the penalties are coming from the bottom lines, has there been a lot of matching lines by CC? I feel like Cronin would make sure they didn't get exposed by the top lines of an opponent if they were at Matthews with the last change.

First period- NU clearly dominates
Second - Fairly even
Third - CC is the clear winner here... NU really needs to step it up in the last 6 minmutes if they want to win this game...

CC is looking very strong right now... that forecheck on our PP was just great hockey. NU is looking slow right now... COME ON HUSKIES PICK IT UP
