I agree. We are lucky to have a coach of this quality and he has turned Northern into a very respectable program once again. People in Marquette and NMU just need to look at the two other UP hockey programs to see what Walt has been able to accomplish in his tenure at Northern!

This guy is a true Wildcat Champion! He won championships at NMU as a player, he won championships at NMU as an assistant coach, and is on the verge of winning a championship at NMU as a head coach!

Walt we are behind you all the way and Good Luck against the big and Mighty U of M! (just ask em) Remember, the bigger they are, the harder they fall!!! Marquette and NMU, get behind this team and show it your support! Trust me, there are a lot of Husky and Laker fans who would give their right arm to be cheering for a team in a championship game! GO CATS GO!

Please NMU, play your best game of the year and keep UM out of the NCAA tournament. I want to enjoy the Frozen Four and knowing that UM and their Cya fanbase has no chance of being there brings a smile to my face.

I know how much you guys hate UM, but from one fan from Ann Arbor, I'm pretty geeked that you guys are going to be in the NCAA's!!!!! (my uncle went to Northern a LONG time ago, had a class with Carr)

DU loses, Miami wins and is the #1 seed overall. They should be put in Ft. Wayne. For NMU to be in Ft. Wayne (most likely) we need to finish #8 or #9. This should happen with a win or Cornell loss.

This is what I hope for tonight.

Well neither of those hold true and if they keep the matchups straight, NMU will head out east to face Cornell. Good thing we got some experience tonight playing in front of a partisan crowd.

Denver vs. RIT would be the other matchup in the regional.

Guess we'll find out tomorrow morning.

It was brought up in the bracket thread that Northern could likely end up in the St. Paul bracket. This way New Hampshire will stay out east and end up playing Cornell. Northern would play St. Cloud with this scenario.

Let me be the 1st to say I hope Northern draws Fort Wayne. Strictly personal, it's a three hour drive for me.

Everything I've been seeing puts us out in Albany to face Cornell. Who ever said something about a partisan crowd is right, that's what I was told by someone from out in that area last night.

And fittingly NMU gets a "cursed" team that has never won an NCAA game before... How fitting :rolleyes:

Everything I had read had us in Albany as well, but I guess we were moved to the Twin Cities to boost attendance...

Either way, just happy to be in the show :D

And hughesnet would just destroy your download limit, just like when you try to stream anything. Don't worry devildog I feel your pain as hughesnet is the only way I can get "high speed" internet out in Bush Alaska.
