NMU 2009-2010 Season

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

I take it that Saint Onge's son NAHL eligibility is up...

I told you so...

And before you all jump on me, yes, I realize attendance was way down and that the organization was losing money. However, this has been the prevailing rumor for years--once Collin Saint Onge's eligibility was up, the Rangers were gone. And, well... there you go.

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

I tend to agree with Diva on this one...

Also, Erik Gustaffson is practicing with the Flyer's much the same as Craig Kowalski did when Carolina won the Stanley Cup during the playoffs. Maybe an injury or two and he'll see some action...

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

Dear God. That's going to be a long three days...

No kidding. There is a reason the coaching staff decided on the December dates, because they didn't want to be traveling that much during the week. Home attendance be dammed.

Thanks MTU for *ing that one up again. Eff you.

The only reason he started a franchise was for his outstanding boy.

Maybe now he can start up a college team for him. Gogebic Community College? Heck, maybe even at Bay?:p

One Community College Hockey team in the U.P. is enough.:p

Not sure the Rangers were taking away from NMU in terms of attendance.

Maybe a few advertising dollars, yeah, but not fans.

Really? Ugh. I'd hate to be the #5 team, you get a bye AND lose out on earning home ice.

Yeah, it would almost be better to be 6, 7, or 8 than 5. At least if you're those, you get the revue of a home series in your coffers.

Still, with the bye, they do get an extra week to get ready for who you play. 1, 2, and three have to wait to figure out who they get next.

Re: NMU 2009-2010 Season

Not sure if I heard this correctly, but it costs teams 10,000 dollars to host playoff games in the CCHA. With NMU's budget its almost better to go on the road :p
