MSNBC reports the governor has declared a state of emergency and a curfew in effect from midnight to 5AM. There are observers from the ACLU (in easily mockable green baseball caps) and the New Black Panther Party (more thugs I'm sure) have asked for volunteers to help with crowd control. According to the MSNBC report, they have been out the past few nights directing traffic, keeping protesters organized and standing guard over buildings that were in danger of being looted.

Toi Evans, 27, who has been on the front lines of the protests since they started, said she watched the bedlam unfold on Friday night from a beauty supply store, which she was helping to safeguard against looters. She said she supports the curfew after seeing looting overnight Friday.

“I’m all for it. From being out here the last few nights, that is about the time when most of the protesters leave. Midnight is when the looters and the criminals and all of the people who aren’t really about the cause come out,” Evans said, standing along W. Florissant Ave. with several hundred other protesters.

Evans said at one point around 3 a.m. Saturday, a group of looters became more aggressive toward her and the group guarding the shop.

“It was just time to go. I’m not willing to give my life for a piece of property I don’t own,” Evans said.

The news station just accidentally aired a video featuring the house of the officer who shot the kid. I don't see how this could go wrong...

One would have to assume the police evacuated him and his family last weekend. Anyone with an Internet connection can find out where he lives - and even get directions to his house!

Besides, it's probably insured in case any of those non thugs tire of stealing sh*t from stores and decide to burn it down.

The problem isn't that you can't tell a well-mannered black man from a thug, it's that you don't even care enough to try.

There are plenty of white thugs as well, not that you care about that either.

Actually you and David Duke look at things pretty similarly, just from opposite directions. After all, it was ex Klan leader Bobby Byrd who declared there are plenty of "white n-words."

In Ferguson, the "well mannered black men" (talk about a condescending, paternalistic formulation) are the ones who aren't committing arson and burglary or inciting to riot. It's pretty simple. But it's so much easier to attribute racial animus to me or anyone else who doesn't buy the party line. Isn't it?

At the end of the day, it's all you've got.

Folks in the North Country are more civilized than that. I'd prefer a life sentence watching Potsdam State hockey.

If you are unfamiliar with that town, just check out Drunk Cheesehead Of The Day thread. Even other Wisconsinites think those people are inbred drunk hicks and want nothing to do with them. They're that bad.
