Honestly, when I go, I simply hope that the phrase "His name was not writ in water" (Shakespeare-based) holds true.

One, six. Doesn't matter. If the cop felt he was in danger he would have been justified emptying his clip.

If he even shot once when the kid wasn't a threat...

Cops are trained to shoot until you are done. Aim for torso, keep firing. Trust me, I know these things.

I still havent read or seen anything that tells me the kid should have been shot once let alone 6 times. Unless that changes the cop is gonna get life on the short end.

Actually, you shouldn't. "With a brain." This situation has been mostly reactionary, no thought behind it. It's sick. Terrible. Common sense has been thrown out by BOTH sides since the beginning. And now they are paying the price.

Wait, you actually think he's going to get a day in prison based in what we've seen so far?

First when is the last time you saw a cop get convicted without a GD video of it?

Second, unless there is actual proof he shot the kid in cold blood, he shouldn't see a day in prison. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

And don't give me some line about Brown not being convicted by a jury. Because if you think that, then you're no better than the cop you're convicting.

Just curious, but did I miss something between when the Missouri State Patrol took over to today when the St. Louis County PD / Ferguson PD kicked up the same sh*t storm again?


And color me impressed that CNN and MSNBC are covering tonight's events live. Including MSNBC's reporter being threatened live on air by the Ferguson cops.

Based upon what? First the narrative was this was a sweet kid just about to enter college while doing nothing wrong that day, and now we seem to have incorrect eyewitness testimony about the kid being shot while running away. This immediately brings in additional doubt that the cop fired while the kid was doing nothing but putting his hands into the air while complying with the cop's demands and demonstrating zero discernible threat or signs of aggression. It sucks like hell the kid died, but it reads more and more he forced the result upon himself.

I have not seen or read anything that convicts beyond a reasonable doubt either....this investigation is still not finished.

This, for lack of a better term, is a complete sh*storm. Whatever result that can happen that satisfies BOTH parties (close enough; and will probably frustrate the sane people) will happen.

If this starts a serious debate on police militarization, this is worth it.
