IMO, and you may have to bust out the tinfoil hat on this one, is either

1. He wasn't this outspoken before, and he's playing the "not mentally fit" card (or rather, his lawyer told him to really play up his beliefs), and he'll get some early retirement and some psych evaluations
2. He was this outspoken before, but the good ol' boys kept it hush-hush for the most part.

I'd lean towards the first theory, but that's just me.

Islam isn't the only faith that has their share of way-too-far cardinal direction extremist groups. Christianity has the same, if not more: Promise Keepers, Army of God, KKK, Catholicism...

But nobody from those groups except the Islamists are committing genocide and you tube beheadings for sh*ts and giggles. And promising more. Remember, Islamists have as their goal the creation of a theocracy. In the west we've separated church and state for centuries. They still haven't gotten that message. However, I do recall an HBO special from several years ago where an Army of God looney tune described his do it yourself circumcision!!!! Pass.

Same here. I don't think there are enough good old boys in the St. Louis County PD to overlook or cover up for a cop who brags about his body count.

And this guy doesn't seem bright enough to keep his mouth shut, so I'd think that in Theory 2, he'd have said the wrong thing to the wrong person.

Not all Islamists are extremists, kinda like how all Christians are not Klansmen. Muslim:Islam::Christian:Christianity.

Those factions that post beheading videos are a sliver of the Islamist beliefs. It would be like hating all Christians because of the actions of the Westboro Baptist Church.


All these extremist factions of Christians, Muslims, followers of Judaism, whoever, need to remember that the respective books of faith are moral recommendations and not a "do as I say or die" guidebook.

Blah, blah, blah. I think you meant to say not all Muslims are Islamists, which is certainly correct. However, Islamists are extremists, they savagely murder Sunnis and Shia, without differentiation. Your pc moral equivalency preening gives me a pain in the a*s.

Please point to even one Christian or Jewish beheading video. As repulsive as WBC is, they've never murdered or raped anyone, nor even advocated it. Go to Best Gore, it's loaded with Islamist beheadings and executions. There are no extremist factions of any monotheistic religion anywhere doing what these savages are doing every day. That includes various terror attacks around the world that have taken thousands of lives. And their announced intentions. Any denial of this is either sophistry or trolling. Take your pick.

That's them. Even there, they're a mixed bag. On the one hand, as you point out they are textbook misogynist. On the other hand, they supposedly have no tolerance of racism and they take the most racist demo in the country (fundy white Christians) and ram in the message that Jebus gives zero fukcs about skin color.

How's that workin' out? BTW, while he was coach at Colorado, McCartney tried to liven up the rivalry with Nebraska. Somebody pointed out that with a career 1-12-1 record against the Huskers he had some work to do.
