I tell you, you can't make this stuff up.
@Kasparov63: A top Russia goalie says German medicine is better only because Nazi experiments now used for good! Aggressive ignorance = Putin's Russia.

"pile of trash"

A Ferguson, Mo., police spokesman has been put on unpaid leave after initially denying, then admitting that he referred to a memorial for Michael Brown as a "pile of trash" to a Washington Post reporter.

Post reporter Jose A. DelReal called Officer Timothy Zoll, the Ferguson Police Department’s public relations officer, after some residents claimed a motorist had intentionally driven a car through a memorial to the 18-year-old who was shot and killed by a Ferguson police officer in August.

“I don’t know that a crime has occurred,” Zoll told DelReal on Friday. “But a pile of trash in the middle of the street? The Washington Post is making a call over this?”

Zoll inititally denied making the statement but later admitted to the remarks and to misleading his superiors when confronted on the issue, the city said in a statement Saturday night.

You could pull up any story on Google news and feel assured that CNN will cover it with none of those in mind.

Front pages of CNN and FNC right now do not disappoint. Let's just reclassify them as peers of E! and be done with it.

Re: Nice Planet #8: You People Make Me Sick.

Last night I was over at my dad's house taking care of some tax stuff and looking at some planning for my future investments and whatnot. I arrived at 4 pm.

Now, neither of us were actively listening, but when I left around midnight, CNN had only stopped talking about that god****ed plane for about five minutes in the eight-hour window.

From the ridiculous to the sublime. This, friends, is how to fight the bigots.

Re: Nice Planet #8: You People Make Me Sick.

He should not have dissembled. But it is a pile of trash, especially after fall and winter weather. A more permanent (and appropriate) memorial might be a bronze box of cigars crushed in a big, beefy fist. Or a big, beefy fist grabbing a clerk by the neck. Or perhaps a big, beefy fist attempting to grab a cop's gun. The continuing efforts to turn that thug/punk into Mother Cabrini is wearing a bit thin. Ralph Bunche he ain't. Anyway, gotta find a new arsonist to lead the effort, since the old one's been busted.

Even as we speak, they're probably trying to figure out a way to justify having Malick Shabazz comment on airline safety.

I'll be honest. At some point in each day I ask myself why every media spokesperson appearing on behalf of a politician or a city or a company doesn't have an "Old Pio" setting that we could tune into. I would actually watch press conferences or Sunday morning news programs.

Just watch reruns of All in the Family. It's the same drag act.

My guess? Everyone else born in the 1750's has long since passed away and there is no way for modern science to accurately replicate the cantankerous fuddy-duddy.

Splice his DNA with Father Coughlin and Don Black. We'll call it "Autocratic Park."

Don't have to watch the reruns. Saw it in it's original run. :p

I was just thinking how much more fun it would be if the Prez' press secretary, or in this case, the St. Louis police department's spokesman, would come out throwing bombs like that.

Re: Nice Planet #8: You People Make Me Sick.

It's a start.

U.S. Rep. Michael Grimm (R-N.Y.) announced late Monday that he will resign from Congress effective next week.

Grimm pleaded guilty in federal court last week to felony tax fraud. He privately told House Republican leaders Monday that he will resign, following calls from Democrats for him to step down.

If you're scoring at home (or even if you're alone), this is the sweetheart who threatened to throw a reporter off a balcony at the State of the Union address.

Model citizen.

Gun People crack me up.

Tell me that kid ain't screwed up for the rest of his life. He's 2 and he's going to need therapy from now until, well, forever.

You're taking some schadenfreude out of this because you don't agree with guns? You're actually reveling in this woman losing her life and that kid growing up with the thought that he killed his mother? How compassionate of you.
