Already insane, UAA making it worse
No that is on the cops as well. It's antagonizing. Then that is on them, and not the cops.

Absolutely. But you take a group of people who have a large amount of mistrust and anger towards police and place officers in riot gear in front of them? It's like red flag to a bull.
I'm going to put this in small words so that you can understand: I am NOT criticizing the current tactics that the police are using right now. What I am criticizing is the tactics that be used before any of this started. This is an angry group of people who are angry and mistrustful of a police force. This police force met them dressed for battle in full battle gear antagonizing them instead of even attempting to defuse the situation before it even started.

My point exactly, not publicly. Not on CNN. WaPo first reported more than a half dozen of them disputed the dominant narrative several weeks ago. Again, if you saw it differently how public would you have wanted to be? We should be grateful they were brave enough to come forward and tell their stories under oath.
This afternoon CNN showed several clips of the "witnesses" whose stories we'd already heard. Including Brown's little buddy. The question was asked, how we can expect no true bill with those witnesses? No mention of the other witnesses. It was Jake Tapper who did that, and he's the best CNN's got by a mile.
I have never seen such a delusional and ill-informed series of posts based entirely on some fantasy world than some of the posts you guys are quoting from jimjamesak.
I cannot understand how someone can come so close to condoning what these people are doing. It's just unbelievable.

Just because you're angry does not give you permission to riot. I'm surprised that some store owner was not inside his store - his livelihood, with a shotgun and a few boxes of shells.
Oh FFS, I AM NOT RATIONALIZING THE LAWLESSNESS. IT IS WRONG, I HAVE SAID THAT.I don't understand you going out of your way to rationalize this lawlessness.
There was a famous wire service photo during Katrina of some dude sitting on his balcony in the French Quarter, generator humming at his feet, cool drink on the table next to him, with a shotgun in his lap.
My point was only that the ones who lied escalated this.
I have no doubt that the witnesses who supported the cop's story were afraid to publicly come forward - and I don't blame them.
You and I - we're agreeing here.

I am criticizing the actions taken by police before all of this that is a cause, one of many, of this.
You have him on ignore or something?
I never use ignore.

I'm sorry, but if I'm going to protest, and I see a cop roll up in riot gear....me, being an intelligent person, will think to myself: "Ok, I'm NOT going to push the limits on this one. I'll say my piece, be polite, and NOT THROW STUFF AT THEM OR DESTROY COP CARS/PROPERTY."
Again, not that difficult.
