Why not rely on what your own research reveals? For you to have still had "doubts" about this widely reported aspect of the "shutdown" suggests to me you hadn't been paying attention. And you're using your "skepticism" as an excuse.

Fair enough, but I'm not ready to FAUXNEWSIMMADASHELLANDNOTGOINGTOTAKEITANYMORE insist that's political gamesmanship. If anything such maneuvers look more unfavorably on the WH than it does on the House therefore makes zero sense to play that game. But it could be...

You are in MN, right? You've lived through the two different treatments of shutdowns under Pawlenty and Dayton, right? So how do you doubt it now? Dayton did EXACTLY this same crap and got away with it. Obama expects to as well.

Bell said he plans to fight the ticket in federal court. He said he saw many other runners and bikers in the park.

Doubt what? That shutdowns cause services to end, or that only Democrats supposedly use it to play games?

The issue is what this president is doing now. Nothing half wit former governors of Minnesota did or did not do justifies Neville's behavior. Trying to deny 90-year old veterans access to their memorial is shabby, even by Chicago standards. Not to mention unnecessary and unjustified. But it does raise the question: Is there anything this cheap suit can do that will raise even a peep of protest or criticism from the chorale? So far, the answer is "no."

I take it as a badge of honor, Stinky. Besides, to the ladies of the chorale, laughter is an acceptable substitute for, you know, thinking. I'll put you down as a "no." There's nothing this empty suit can do that will cause even a peep of protest or criticism.
