And the only reason you keep bringing up Chicago is to score points against Neville and presumably those who don't spend every waking moment obsessing about him. You don't give a hoot about the people getting shot or the cops.

I don't see how anyone could say that at all, at least not someone who's being genuine. When the Obama Regime goes out of its way to spend extra money to close down national monuments that would have otherwise cost the government next to nothing to keep open, it reeks of childish gamesmanship. Only the most partisan could ever see it otherwise.

Oh, really. You realize all your doing is saying that we should keep the parts of the government open that you deem important and not the parts that others may find important? Also, why shouldn't there be pain during a shutdown? Also, it's only 15% of the government that is shutdown. Seems to me if the government is so BIG, 15% should be nothing. Maybe the Republicans in Congress should privatize that 15% so it doesn't get shutdown next time? That would be a hell of a lot more productive then what they're doing now, which is NOTHING.

Secondly, isn't what you just described exactly what the administration is doing right now? Or do you not understand this because it doesn't anger you?

Third off, if the government is supposedly shut down, why is even more money being spent than before on park rangers, federal SWAT teams, and the like? Maybe it's just me, but I thought the purpose of a shutdown was that the country spends less money.

What angers me is the Gov't is shutdown because of the birther movement. That's not only asnine it's insane.

No, I never use the national parks. I've not been to DC since I was 9. What I'm saying - what has me irritated - is that the Obama regime has decided that they want to spend extra money to make a point.

No different then all the money that Bush (when he was in office), Graham and McCain want to spend in the Middle East to make a point. They all waste money. The question is do we shutdown the government over it or not? Do we pay our bills or not? I'm publicly against about 50-75% of the current federal budget (give or take) yet I'm not asking my Senators to shutdown the government over it.

No sticky, funny I read that for 8 years , now not a peep

Congress has kicked the budget issue down the road for 90 days here,6 months there without really making the hard choices it needs to make

At the end of the day, all you ladies have is to go ad hominem. Don't argue, just call names. Although now you've merged into hysterical ranting. And to carry out my "illegitimate" pose of concern for our vets, I have an appointment tomorrow at the VA. You know, the one you and that cheap suit claim has shut down.

The cheap suit I was referring to was Neville, who went on TV to claim VA health facilities would be shut down. You repeated that claim and I was generous enough to give you the benefit of the doubt. Not any more. You have as little appreciation of the truth as he has.
