Guy this story is about needs to be thrown off the air.

It's a race to the bottom. The target audience here is young males or guys with the brains of young males. Normal people being offended isn't going to have any impact. Remember after the Challenger disaster The "Grease Man" in DC did a bit where you heard a dumb blond type voice (Christa McAuliffe) ask "what happens if I push this button?" Followed by an explosion. IIRC, he got canned. But found "work" somewhere else.

Peter Ustinov once described the character he played in Topkapi as a guy who "aimed low and missed." Exactly.

No he doesn't. It might be nasty commentary, but they're called "shock jocks", and they've existed in significant numbers for 20+ years going back to Howard Stern's momentary stint on Detroit radio - if you're offended, change the channel. If he's that hated, then low ratings will get him fired, just as they did here in 1981.

Actually right now its probably closer to being about 25 acres of field, 9 in pasture, and 6 acres between the barnyard, house, creek side that's overgrown and hard to access, and two pretty big pot holes that have trees growing up around them.

Thinking back on it, Dad had some moron come thru last fall to evaluate the place and I guess he gave him some figure just a little under $400,000 on the place as part of the divorce process. Think he was trying to figure out to get some lowball offer so that Mom would buy him out. Not really sure what he really thought he was going to do with that though.
$400k does seem like a lowball offer, but then, a year ago, real estate prices were really in the ****ter, so it may be accurate for a hobby farm.

Baba Wawa says she doesn't think Maher was being "mean-spirited" when he called Trig Palin "retarded." She explained that when she was young, that was the term everyone used. 'Course when she was young, most of us used out houses and corn cobs and got our mail from the Pony Express. She is, as she has always been, a jumped up weather girl. S.J. Perelman captured her essence when he described her as: “the most insincere, brassy nitwit in the business.”

While I don't believe for a second that Bill Maher wasn't being mean spirited....Whoopi Goldberg hit the nail on the head about the word "retarded".

I'd be very cautious about quoting or agreeing with that dumb bell. She's the one who referred to "rape, rape." I wonder if she'd be so understanding about the n-word. For generations millions of Americans used that word every day, and didn't intend anything "mean spirited." After all: "that's what they are."

Besides, when did it become acceptable to talk about the young children of public figures?

"Good days, bad days" in Chicago
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2013/06/the_shooting_gallery_that_is_chicago.html

Obviously Mayor Rham Emanuel's gun control strategy is working to perfection; guns for the criminals and none for law abiding citizens. He will tell us that this was not his intent, but no one can be that stupid, right?
We haven't had a real heat wave in Chicago this summer yet. When it gets too hot to stay in those slummy public housing projects, the criminal element pours into the streets and tempers get short. Expect even worse weekends later this summer.

Re: Nice planet 4: Take 2. Action!

lulz

He claims the drop in total homicides isn't enough. No sh#t it's not, but you don't get to, "enough" by way of the numbers heading in the other direction. It's lazy a-hole journalism that plays right into the hands of dittoheads.

Gang killings in Chicago are Limbaugh's fault? I know he was responsible for the OkC bombing, but not this.

Re: Nice planet 4: Take 2. Action!

Wasn't El Rushbo behind the Kennedy assassination?

There were those unconfirmed reports of a pudgy 12-year old on the grassy knoll. Maybe if we blew up the Mary Moorman Polaroid again.
